Borrowing from another thread, the economic uniformity/dependence placed upon all major nations seems ripe for the exploitation of top-down mind control games to support individual sacrifice toward the aim of bringing down a national foe. North Korea uses ther mind control to near perfection to galvinize their peoples animosity toward South Korea and the US. Imagine that success being used by China and/or Russia with the same aim. Yes, there would be hard economic times, but the ideological ends might outweigh the means. The US would be in a world of hurt if trade became more difficult with China. For that matter, for the past two decades (or more), the US hasn't been doing a stellar job of winning friends and gaining support from overseas. It's not too far-fetched to imagine the world ganging up economically against the US. Chances are against that ever happening, but on the other hand, never say never.
