$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('hubbertspeak7777777', '.')..Grow up, go to school, work hard and get good grades, go to college and get good grades so you can get a job so you can do even more work and be a corporate slave, get a raise so you can buy even more useless junk, put up with people's bullshit, get married to a woman who will end up becoming a nasty hag with saggy tits who will bury you in credit card debt, go to church, pray to imaginary friends, pay taxes, vote for dishonest politians based on their insincere promises, get screwed over by the politicians you voted for, have kids that will grow up to hate you, retire, grow old and watch lame-ass sitcom reruns all day and then, you finally die. And it was all for nothing...
Is anyone else slightly bothered by such bullshit? Does anyone else not care if our bullshit way of life ends soon?
Excuse me? Are you somehow suggesting that everything in that rant is not self-induced?
You don't have to go to college. You don't have to be a corporate slave. You don't have to buy even one piece of useless junk. You don't have to put up with anybody's bullshit. You don't have to marry anybody. You don't have to be in debt. You don't have to subscribe to any belief system. You don't have to vote. You don't have to have kids.
And if you don't want to get old, you don't have to.
You must be an American. Only one of us would post a whiny rant like that. How can you be so clueless? How can you not realize that, as long as you stay out of legal trouble and maintain your health, and are sort of reasonably well-educated, you can make anything of your life that you want it to be?
Who cares what anybody else thinks of you or how you live, or what you make of your life? Do you feel some sort of pressure to live the life you described? If so, who's pressuring you, and why can't you just tell them to go to Hell?
Every one of us lives the life we want to live, no matter how much we think otherwise. If we make wrong choices, and then don't correct them, it's only our own fault. If you don't live the life you want to live, only you are to blame.
Sure, some very tough times are coming. So what? Tough times always come, and then they go. Things may get really bad, but who cares? We're going to have front-row seats for the Apocalypse. What a show we're going to see. We're going to live in "interesting" times that may make the Great Depression and World War II look dull. Every single day may be an adventure.
But for now, you're one of God's Chosen People. You're not a starving African. You're not a Brazilian ethanol plantation slave. You're not a North Korean. You're not a 14-year-old Afghani girl. You're an American. You're free to live any way you choose. If you're not happy, you need to pick through your own brain to find the reasons why.
