2005 MLB Playoffs

Bird flu, peak oil...who cares? We at least have October.

I think my Sox can take Boston. But it's a Chicago sports team, so they probably won't. We are a nice city, so it's fitting we would be beaten by a city full of mean-spirited, intolerant douchebags. Red Sox fans are a virus, similar to Cubs and Yankees fans. In fact, I would say that they are the same beast. They have all three caps in their dresser and rotate depending on which team is in contention. They find host stadiums to infect, get drunk off their ass and ruin the game experience of the home team's fans.

This NEVER got any attention last year, but the Sox (of the non-evil city) actually had the second longest streak w/o a World Series. The Cubs have the longest, and the BoFo Sox had the THIRD longest. You wouldn't know it by the way Red Sox fans bitched and moaned. It didn't matter that the Celtics won 8 in a row or the Pats win 3 of the last 4 Superbowls. They are a cursed city that Boston is!

Fuck Boston

Fuck Good Will Hunting

Fuck baked beans

Fuck Pudge Fisk for going into the Hall as Red Sock (!?)

Hey, this is just some good-spirited ribbing. :P

Fuck you - I'm from the Boston area, and am not a sports fan. Don't you have something better to flame about?

I hope your Sox do fine, but Jeez, do we need the love?

- Ed :P

Sounds like this one is headed for the hall of flames.

Seriously, I have nothing but love for the city of Boston. It's all in good fun.

Seriously, I figured you were joking around - no harm. And it'd be great for the white sox to follow on the red sox breaking the jinx.

I started a thread back in late May about my team the San Diego Padres. Somehow it got waylaid into a discussion of drugs. Zentric (whatever happened to him?) complained and some wag said he didn't mind talk about drugs, but he was offended by talk about baseball! Well, the Pads backed into the playoffs but they may not get too far. :( Same thing happened a decade ago: they make the playoffs and St Loius takes a buzz saw to their bid. It aint over yet, though!

 That's what I was talking about! Baseball, Mom, and Apple Pie! Yeah America! When I was in high school all those years ago, I had a girlfriend from Ecuador. Her mom and dad liked me, the blue-eyed blond haired All-American boy and her dad said to me, 'You like baseball?' I said 'sure!'
