The world population is expected to reach nine billion in 2050, experts said. For the next fifty years in 2100, it is expected to climb to another billion, making it to ten billion. This is based on a review article by Professor David Bloom, which was highlighted by the Harvard School of Public Health press release. At present, the global population for year 2011 is expected to top seven billion.
Based on the report, the world population growth depends on the geographical location. Hence, world population growth is geographically uneven. A certain illustration would the countries of Japan and Germany where population growth is controlled and slow. Thus, their populations will stay constant, or possibly even decrease. For the years to come, Japan and Germany could experience a demographics crisis as the elderly begin to outnumber the young. As a result, fewer young people will be caring for the old, which is a fearful situation for these countries.
Populations in developing countries are expected to explode, according to reports. The continent of Africa is expected to have the highest figures in population increase. The population of Africa is to rise to 1.1 billion. This is 49% of the global projected growth in 2050. Professor Bloom went on to say that by the time the year 2050 approaches, the developed world is estimated to have contributed only 3% of the projected global population growth. This scenario is alarming, but the dangers will be prevented if immediate action is taken.
World population growth carries with it some problems that are inevitable. This includes the lack of supply of food, water, housing and energy, said Professor David Bloom. On the contrary, Professor David Bloom clarified that the earth isn’t dying. The earth could still sustain the needs of the population and the resources are still available to consume to cater the needs of the exploding population. This report was confirmed by agricultural scientists. According to the agricultural scientists, the earth has a vast arable land to be used by the people. Based on the study, the world’s population would fit in the state of Texas. However, certain problems will be expected to occur like starvation, overcrowding, resource mismanagement, corruption and many more.
In this article you learned that the world population is getting bigger and bigger. In year 2050, the world’s population is expected to explode at 9 billion. Africa contributes to the expected growth of population in 2050 by forty-nine percent. Notwithstanding the belief that the earth is dying and could no longer sustain the needs of the people, a study by Professor David Bloom clarified that the earth has enough resources to cater the expected population growth in 2050.

7 billion to 9 billion in 40 years is not “exploding”. In fact it shows a dramatic drop in the rate of increase. And only 10 billion in 90 years? An even slower rate of increase. At its highest rate only 50 years ago the Earths population was doubling every 35 years.
Of course we are still in a world of trouble but at least frame the issue correctly.

Forty years is a VERY short time if you relate it to the overall-age of industrial civilization or known human history. There must come a huge change in lifestyles especially in the so-called developed world or humanity will end up in endless wars for resources and social misery. This dramatic development is known for many decades now but it is a delicate issue and no-one really wants to talk about it in public. We are on a fast track to an unspeakable humanitarian catastrophy…

“world population growth is geographically uneven”
Ha! No it isn’t, what a BS article. “world population growth” is a single number for the entire world. By defintion. Duh!

“World Population In 2050 To Explode To 9 Billion, Africa Contributes 49%”
I see they have changed the headline since my original post to make it even more inflamatory – oh it’s THE BLACK PEOPLE who are the problem.
Seriously – why does this website reproduce articles like this? Sometimes I thing it is managed by 12 year olds. No wonder most of its readers aren’t – they don’t comment on this garbage, they ignore it, they have their own forums off on the side.

“In year 2050, the world’s population is expected to explode at 9 billion. Africa contributes to the expected growth of population in 2050 by forty-nine percent.”
“The population of Africa is to rise to 1.1 billion. This is 49% of the global projected growth in 2050.”
So the global population is expected to increase by 2 billion and Africs is to contribute half of that and Africa’s population in 2050 will be 1.1 billion…which means that Africa’s population now is only 100 million.
Hey Peak Oil . com – you are ignorant! Fuck you for publishing this shit. Fuck you and fuck your mother’s too. Don’t even pretend that this is a serious website. Oh and by the way – fuck your sister while you are busy fucking your mother.

Too few resources and an ever growing population. We were unable to successfully deal with the worlds problems of poverty, hunger and despair when the world had 5 billion people and adequate resources. How will we cope in a world of 9 billion people and limited resources of food, water, oil and jobs? This is a recipe for disaster and population collapse. The inhabitants of Easter Island did not understand this until it was too late.
