Individuals, business and politicians need to support the transition to clean, safe alternative energy. Wind, solar, geothermal and second generation biofuels all need to become a bigger part of the energy mix each year.
Our economic security and national security depend on our ability to transition to alternative energy.

Wow, that’s about as gloomy a prognosis as I think I’ve ever seen from Professor Heinberg.
He is usually renowned for his “moderate” take on our predicament, going out of his way (if not twisting himself into pretzels) to present an outlook that is palatable to those not as ecologically literate.
Too bad this will probably earn him ridicule as one of those apocalyptic cult “doomers”.

Richard Douthwaite, Econemist, Thankyou for explaining the gravity of Growth.
This is the most misunderstood/underestimated concept there currently is in Human Psycolagy.
Yell it from the rooftops!
