Climatologists have reported further evidence of climate change as figures show that 2010 was the joint warmest year since records began in 1880.
Temperatures seen last year and in 2005 were 0.62 C above the global average and the year marked the 34th consecutive year of above average global temperatures, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center.
“To my mind, it reinforces the notion that we are seeing a signal for increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere,” commented David Easterling, an NCDC climatologist, speaking to the Guardian.
He added that any notion that the climate stopped warming in 2005 “lacks credibility”.
The report comes as the year ended with vast snowstorms in North America, while the state of Queensland in Australia is currently suffering from unprecedented floods.
Arctic sea ice cover was also found to be the third smallest last year since records began in 1979, a common measure of the evidence of climate change by campaigners.

According to propagan-duh pundits (Mr. Oxycontin, the $avage Weiner, the O’Reilly Fuker, Glen Buck-a-roo, et al) preaching the $tatus quo palaver on Amerikan talk hate radio (and other corp-rat owned media outlets)… global climate change is only a foolish myth promulgated by commie pinko anarchists who hate Jeezass! According to them (the corp-rat media pundits)… the only hope for Amerika is to build more Hummers and bomb Iran in the name of democracy.
