San Francisco, June 22 Tesla CEO Elon Musk”s grim forecast of humanity suggests that a “population bomb” would lead to a worldwide collapse in humans in the coming decades and everybody would start to see the evident effects by 2050.
Musk”s prediction was triggered by a tweet from a page called World of Engineering that said: “1950 (historical) world population – 2,556,000,053. Current world population – 7,712,343,478. 2050 (projected) world population – 9,346,399,468.”
Replying to that tweet on Friday Musk wrote: “Real issue will be an ageing and declining world population by 2050, *not* overpopulation.”
Musk also shared a Wikipedia link to an article titled, “Projections of population growth”.
“Yes, demographics, stratified by age, will look like an upside down pyramid with many old people and fewer young,” the multi-billionaire entrepreneur wrote further.
The SpaceX CEO”s theory believes that when an increasingly-elderly global population clashes with declining birth rates around the world in the near future a ”population bomb” would go off, web portal Futurism reported.
Musk first broached the topic back in 2017 when Musk replied to a publication saying, “The world”s population is accelerating towards collapse, but few seem to notice or care.”

Debt as portion of gdp is the metric most people use to gauge how well a country is likely to perform over the long term. Right now with the EUSSR on the death bed, still on the drip of QE just to stay hydrated the US is quickly approaching 100% of debt to GDP ratio, considering that when Bush 2 took power, just before 911 the US owed less than a quarter of that. The US is cashing in on the dollar as the world’s reserve currency but faith in it is starting to run out. Gold and silver backed options might be the only thing between a Bitcoin Armageddon (for banksters) and a socialist/anarchist utopia of bloc chain anonymity trading.
Pensions and health care are the biggest cost specifically child care for young workers and the high costs associated with the process of dying in our later years. So far governments have kicked the can down the road by extending retirement ages and lowering pension benefits, the results are obvious, every a+e is filled with crowds of geriatrics waiting on trollies while over worked and stressed doctors do their best to try and deal with an already existing population bomb, its already gone off.
Goverments everywhere are not dealing with it. The solution imho is to force families to take care of their elderly, it would ensure that in the west young people will have kids and they have to be nice to them if they want their kids to look after them when they are old.
However the socialist model of the non nuclear family with gays etc ‘having’ children is the preferred version of humanitys survival plan right now. Traditional views however always have a nasty habit of not quite dying off. Does that mean that tomorrow that western women will suddenly see the benefits of staying at home and loving a good provider, of course not but as the government’s fritter away the last of pension pots on drones to kill Iranians then we must, more and more, look to ourselves and not the socialist institutions for our own futures.

The real bomb is the development bomb. Everyone wants the good life but the planet does not have enough cheap energy and other resources to enable this. Development is also associated with pollution and we are going to see progressively worse cancer rates from all of the unregulated chemicals (PAH type) that are starting to circulate through the environment after decades of accumulation.
A perfect storm is waiting to destroy humanity.
Sissyfuss on Mon, 24th Jun 2019 11:55 am
Japan now has more people over 80 than those under 10. As CC harvest disruptions are now in vogue the unproductive elderly will be left at the raging river during migration, too weak to cross and left for the wolves to feast upon. The tremendous amount of resources needed to keep the ancients breathing who reside by the exits of life will be redirected to the younger struggling to survive. Only the wealthy will qualify to have their selfish beings extended long enough to allow their banks accounts to be drained. Don’t look for solutions from the diva Musk. He goes bipolar between tech salvation and demographic disaster. Cognitive dissonance writ large.

Elon Musk spent his life trying to inspire people with his vision that tech and green energy can save us. He strove, then he did the math and he took a chance. Now reality is hitting him and he’s just joining in the nihilism of the modern ‘woke’ lefty who can see that their vision is doomed even before its here. Better to smoke a joint and say what you really think while being ‘under the influence’, he knows there no future in electric cars, not really, maybe while cheap fossil fuels energy is around some of us will enjoy the luxury of an electric private car, but nobody is seriously talking about the big pollutor’s like trucks, ships and even less aircraft , you can’t break the laws of thermodynamics. The equation must balance.

He stutters and spends all his time filling in minutes with bluster, that’s when he’s not looking at his watch. He looks beaten and deflated. Whoever is advising him is wrong, Johnson is where he is, like him or not and I don’t, because he was Boris.”

It looks more that Boris and Carrie have a “time-out” from their tumultuous relationship. Apparently Corrie was serious when she shouted “get out!”, although she didn’t mean for this to become public.
Boris looks like a groggy boxer, hammering in that the UK will leave the EU by October 31, while everybody knows they won’t, because at least 12 Tories will vote against that, unless the EU itself pulls the plug. The longer the UK stays in, the smaller the divorce bill of currently 39B gets, since a lot of the dough was related to long term commitments until 2020.

Consequence: he won’t get much speaking time or any at all to fulminate against the EU. Most European right-wingers no longer want to abolish the EU but turn it into a right-wing club. “Europe Won’t Admit The Mini-BOTs Are Coming”
https://tinyurl.com/y4zfxhfk strategic culture
“Italy is in serious trouble financially. This is virtually common knowledge at this point. What isn’t common knowledge is its Euroskeptic government led by Lega’s Matteo Salvini and Five Star Movement’s Luigi Di Maio are preparing an assault on the foundation of the European Union itself to save Italy. And that assault comes with the most innocuous name. Mini-BOT…It would be a parallel currency which could circulate freely domestically at a discount to the euro which would work as a medium of exchange to reflect the reality of the Italian economy better than the euro does. The euro’s value is dominated by Germany’s economy. And, in short, by being so the euro overvalues Italy’s labor pool and undervalues Germany’s.”
“The mini-BOT seeks to reverse this process by allowing the Italian treasury to issue them as interest-bearing small bills which can be used to purchase goods and services in the Italian market but which will also be redeemable to pay for government services and taxes. Doing this bypasses the euro completely and these will trade at a discount to the euro, thereby setting a proper exchange rate for Italy’s economy relative to Europe’s as a whole and increasing money velocity.”
“And what scares Brussels the most is not what they say do – an increase in Italy’s debt, unsustainable spending, etc. Italy is nearly unsalvageable under a euro-only currency regime. No, what EU leadership fears the most is that this parallel domestic currency system of the mini-BOT actually works. Because once it does it will show the rest of Europe just how corrupt and vindictive EU leadership is. As if Brexit talks haven’t exposed this fundamental truth to them already. And once that happens, the future of the EU itself comes into sincere doubt.”
“They have to move quickly to get the Mini-BOT in place. Europe’s finances are unraveling quickly. The ECB is looking at lowering rates again once Mario Draghi exits the stage to leave the mess for his replacement. Deutsche Bank is looking to spin off a small portion of its bad assets into a Bad Bank while Germany’s economy continues cratering and a hard Brexit is looking more and more likely. None of these things are euro positive and none of them help the EU in its fight to keep Italy in the fold. Italy will need the mini-BOT once this huge move into sovereign debt is over. It is rapidly becoming the most over-crowded trade in history with nearly $12 trillion in debt now carrying a negative return.”

“Rise Of The Greens = Deindustrialization Of Germany”
https://tinyurl.com/yxuh2wua moneymavin
“The Green Party is on the rise in Europe. Ramifications are immense, starting with the deindustrialization of Germany… Germany’s Green party killed nuclear power. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, once a strong supporter of nuclear energy, reversed course in a nod to the Greens. It did her party, nor Germany, any good. Diesel is dead, and rightfully so, but Germany is not prepared for it. The Greens are also after coal, GMOs, and in general big business.”
“The issue for German companies is the over-reliance on exports which is great when global trade works [but] nowadays trade is questioned, the currency doesn’t offer incremental benefits and technological trends move away from German core skills,” says Arndt Ellinghorst, an analyst at Evercore who used to work for Volkswagen.”
“It reminds us of the most common argument against electric cars in Germany: it cannot happen because German car makers are simply not ready to mass-produce them. What those who argue in this way have not yet woken up to is that their underlying assumptions about German industrial production are going to be challenged as part of the climate policy as well. What they have not realized yet is that the targets are very easy to achieve – through less production at home.”
“Green Irony The Green victory leading to the demise of nuclear forced more use of dirtier coal. Now the Greens are after coal. Killing coal as a method of producing electricity in Germany will do two things. Force up costs Shift electrical production from German coal to even dirtier coal in nearby countries.”
Davy on Wed, 26th Jun 2019 4:49 am
I want to be clear that I admire what Germany has done with green energy. They have taken renewables to a new level of integration that benefits the world. Germany is now also showing the consequences of renewables which will certainly mean less industrial production. Germany is now at a cross roads of the increased cost of renewable integration but unfortunately compounded by declining economic growth and trade. Germany’s exports will be under pressure internally and externally by this reality. This will mean less affluence not more. A point is going to be reached and that point is close where the general public will feel the excessive pain of change. Will Germany be able to continue the commitments they have made with renewable integration? It is my opinion the tradeoffs and the economic reality of the costs are going to slow this process way down. Germany will be an example of how far an large industrialized country can go with green energy and that is not far enough to live up to the wild commitments being made.
Antius on Wed, 26th Jun 2019 6:35 am
“Nigel Farage can’t find, c.q. doesn’t want to join right wing parties in the EU parliament”
No surprise here. Farage has been involved in British politics for around 20 years. In that time, he has wiped his feet on many real nationalists; recently firing his campaign manager for having stood for the BNP over 10 years ago. Because of his anti-EU stance, a lot of people tend to assume that he is some kind of patriot. Nothing could be further from the truth. His success comes largely thanks to the support of the kosher Daily Express.
If Europe does achieve a 1989 moment and glorious white nationalist revolution, I hope they don’t forget to liberate the British from kosher tyranny.

Turkey stepped and there’s been a stand off ever since. Iran and Qatar together hold enough natural gas to put the U.S. out business with its lng from tight oil ambitions. Russia’s nord stream 2 (Germany’s prefered option) is lying in stasis thanks to non-non-EUSSR member Denmark that leaves Iran left to deal with. Again, as a rule of thumb, if you want a carbon free Dutch economy, you need to double the electricity output (that would be 26 GW on average), as well as a storage of ca. 41% annual consumption, or 10.7 GW hydrolysis capacity, to be realized in 2050.
