The Decline and Fall of the American Empire

The Decline and Fall of the American Empire thumbnail

So what would the decline of America look like? I don’t ask the question because I think it’s happening (yet?), but because even the most inveterate optimist should be interested in the dangers, if only to ward them off.

Here’s the cleanest tale of hypothetical decline I could come up with, keeping away from the more partisan or hysterical scenarios, or those involving a catastrophic deus ex machina.

Imagine that the United States gets through the presidency of Donald Trump without a crippling constitutional crisis. Still, the shrill public debate — which will continue well past Trump’s time in office — will continue to prove unequal to the task of addressing the nation’s most pressing problems.

In recent years, the underlying rate of productivity growth often has been about 1 percent, and rates of economic growth are not even half of what they used to be. Meanwhile, America will have to increase taxes or reduce spending by about $2,200 per taxpayer per year to keep the national debt-to-GDP ratio from rising ever higher, and that figure predates the Trump tax cuts. To fund that shortfall, the U.S. will cut back on infrastructure maintenance. At least one-third of this country will end up looking like — forgive the colloquial phrase — “a dump.” The racial wealth gap will not be narrowed.

Aging and entitlements will force the president, whether Democratic or Republican, to look for a mix of spending cuts and tax increases. The spending cuts will diminish the range of the military, and the tax hikes will ensure that economic growth doesn’t pick up. The integrity of Medicare and Social Security will be (mostly) protected, but the U.S. will lose the ability to project power around the globe.

Over a period of less than five years, China will retake Taiwan and also bring much of East and Southeast Asia into a much tighter sphere of influence. Turkey and Saudi Arabia will build nuclear weapons and become dominant players in their regions. Russia will continue to nibble at the borders of neighboring states, including Latvia and Estonia, and NATO will lose its credibility, except for a few bilateral relationships, such as with the U.K. Parts of Eastern Europe will return to fascism. NAFTA will exist on paper, but it will be under perpetual renegotiation and hemispheric relations will fray.

One area of major technological advance will be drugs, and I don’t mean beneficial pharmaceuticals. The opioid crisis eventually will subside, but new waves of ever more powerful addictive substances will arise. Easy home lab production will make interdiction at the border fruitless. More than 80,000 Americans already die from alcohol every year, and more than 60,000 from drug overdoses. Total losses from addiction will rise.

Other technologies will indeed provide a bounty, but not all of it will be positive. Artificial intelligence and facial and gait surveillance will lead to unprecedented invasions of privacy, causing another 1 or 2 percent of Americans to decide to “live off the grid.” The impact of assassin drones will be curbed — by filling the skies with police drones. Public crimes will plummet, but public spaces in major cities will have a depressing sameness, due to the near-total absence of spontaneous behavior. Advances in recording technologies will make most conversations in public, and many in private, remarkably bland.

Driverless cars will be “the next big thing,” but they’ll make roads more crowded. The elderly will insist on their driverless car rights, and defeat economists’ proposals for new congestion charges. Americans will spend another hour a day in their cars, although texting and watching TV, rather than driving.

The very worst fears about climate change won’t come true. But a nagging succession of storms, plus required adjustments along the coasts to accommodate a rise in sea level, will eat up about 0.5 percent worth of economic growth. So when America does occasionally approach 3 percent growth, in terms of living standards it may feel more like 2 percent.

Shall I present my own petty gripes? Due to the limited selection on Netflix streaming, fewer and fewer people will watch the great movies of the past, thereby neutering the durability of the 20th century’s greatest art form. And live performances of classical music — another of the West’s most significant and beautiful achievements — will cease to be regular in all but a few major U.S. cities.

So what in this description sounds so implausible? Is it that you think productivity growth will come in at 3 percent? That it will all be worth it because advances in medicine will allow us to stick around in decent form until age 135? That technological breakthroughs will extend the reach of the U.S. military further yet? That the Mars colony will be awesome?

Just how lucky are you feeling?

” The integrity of Medicare and Social Security will be (mostly) protected,…”

50,000,000+ voters will make it so.

“Over a period of less than five years, China will retake Taiwan and also bring much of East and Southeast Asia into a much tighter sphere of influence.”

Yep! I expect that to happen before 2025.

Then the article drops down Alice’s rabbit hole into fantasy land. LMAO

The most interesting thing about this article is that it is not written by some internet right-wing “hate blogger”, or sensationalists like Zerohedge, but by Bloomberg, that is US Deep State. The real owners of the US.

Despite the headline, Bloomberg says the US is not in decline. Now decline is a relative thing. What you can say with certainty is that other parties are catching up and that the difference between the “benevolent hegemon” and the EU, Russia and China are getting smaller and smaller.

Since 2000 we have seen events that were less than stellar for the US deep state:

    – In 2000 the US lost Russia as a vassal after the rise of Vladimir Putin. After a couple of years he teamed up with China in SCO, a Eurasian coalition that can’t be beaten militarily. Putin also teamed up with Germany and France and the three of them refused cooperation with the US in Iraq.

    – Iraq didn’t became a US colony/vassal like the KSA, Jordan and Egypt. At a cost of 3-6 trillion $, Iraq was effectively handed over to the sphere of influence of Iran.

    – 2008. Near collapse of the US financial system, due to “subprime loans”. Although it is forbidden to talk about it, but the real cause of the financial collapse were loans that were doled out that never should have been doled out, because you could tell in advance they were not going to be paid back. Think mostly mortgages given to minorities.

    https://www.lewrockwell.com/2010/10/michael-hudson/the-monster-bait-and-switch/

US Bankers did so under heavy political pressure, but knew in advance what was going to happen, so they shifted their garbage as much as possible on to unsuspecting European financial institutions with a reckless belief in the strength of the American economy.

    – In 2011 the US began to conspire with KSA, Qatar and Turkey to overthrow the Assad regime via rent-a-terrorist scheme organized from Jordan and Turkey. The plan backfired majestically because the bought-and-paid for jihadists had a 7th century Caliphate agenda of their own and established the Islamic State. Although the US officially always claimed to have nothing to do with it and deplored the development, they never really fought IS. It was Russia that did it.
The defeat of US intentions in Syria was the first major military defeat of the US by a major European nation. That tastes good. Expect more to follow when the European populists will have taken over power and team up with Russia and organize a military confrontation between Eurasia and the US.

    – In 2016 an outsider hijacked the US presidency, who declared war on the US deep state and its media and began to promote halting immigration and “getting along with Russia”, efforts that are hysterically resisted by the US deep state, since their grand strategy sees Russia as the weakest of Russia-China and they want to topple Putin first, before they can confront China with the communist purpose of abolishing all nations and create One World in the hand of the Self-Chosen bankers. Currently the hijacker is busy blowing up the US empire by pursuing an “America First” strategy, aimed at restoring America’s industry.

    – In 2015 Europe took the lead in fighting Climate Change with its Paris Accords, from which Trump would later withdraw. Europe now has the moral high ground with this theme.

    – As a consequence of the engineered Syrian “Civil War”, lots of fake refugees from countries other than Syria made their way to Europe, lured by signals from Merkel that they were all welcome. That initiated a country-wide populist backlash from which Merkel did not recover. The AfD (17% polls) is now out of the blue opposition leader, rising in the polls and almost surpasses the Social-Democrats (18% in polls) as 2nd party. Merkel is wounded game within the EU, where Orban and Salvini set the tone in the immigration debate (#FortressEurope)

    – Brexit vote 2016. Major geopolitical development, which together with the Trump presidency could initiate the break-up of the West/US empire. Britain since Elisabeth I, by instinct will always act anti-continental European and if they can’t dominate themselves, like in the 19th century (WW1), they will always favor American over European global leadership and act upon it, including war (WW2). Brexit is irrational from an economic standpoint, but rational from an identitarian standpoint. The British are globalists/imperialists and believe in the AngloZionist One World project, even at the cost of their own ethnic demise.

If European-America fails to escape from the US and doesn’t rise up, this is going to be the world of the future, say after 2025-2030:

    https://documents1940.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/george_orwell_map.jpg

Trump will be gone and the US deep state reconsolidates and integrates Britain into Orwell’s “Oceania” (pink).

DJT/Brexit/Iran will have caused Europe to turn to Russia, that under Putin aspired to become European.

The only real mistake Orwell made was not anticipating the re-Islamification of Ataturk’s secular state, now aiming for global Islamic leadership.

  5. Cloggie on Sun, 5th Aug 2018 5:51 am

Should have added a conclusion to my previous post.

Regardless of what will happen to America, breakup or not, it is clear it will have to retreat from 1945 global hegemony, not in the least because of the demographic shift, as a result of deep state engineered mass immigration ftom the third world since 1965, turning the former first world European moonlander country into a not too interesting territory, excelling in rap, narcotics and tattoos.

Despite what Bloomberg claims, the US is very well in decline, consider the long list of bloopers in my previous post as of 2000, when the owners of the US were still dreaming of a Second American Century and were plotting 9/11 to make that century happen by creating the excuse to grab the world’s oil reserves, a big fail.

    [insert European Natzi grin here]

A likely outcome could be the multi-polar world as predicted by Orwell-1984, see map above, miraculously coinciding with the world’s “great religions”

    1. orange – PBM, white race, Christianity
    2. pink – Anglosphere, mongrelized, Judaism
    3. green – East Asia, Han Chinese, Confucianism
    4. yellow – ME, North Africa, SE-Asia, Islam (Orwell’s “disputed territories”)

According to Orwell, these 4 entities will be at constant war with each other, not a full scale war, but border wars.

Fundamentally, the only situation that would draw Russia into a military alliance with the US, against China, would be a Chinese attempt to threaten Russian territorial integrity, i.e. annex their land.

In the absence of such a threat, at least for the time being, the Russians would have no strategic interests in teaming up with the US to antagonise the Chinese. That is what the article essentially claims and it is obvious.

This does not imply that Russia and the US cannot find common ground and work together. Both powers have a common interest in containing Islamic expansionism, for example, and I doubt either seriously want to see a nuclear armed Iran. Both could benefit from trade with the other, so long as the terms of that trade do not compromise national security. Russia has the ability to provide oil in a way that could counter balance the monopoly of OPEC. The US has a food surplus, that could be an asset to Russia in the event of poor harvests. Both sides have an interest in developing certain technologies and sharing the costs.

So the article is wrong in saying that the Russians need nothing from the US and vice versa.

Looking at the leadership of Dems and Reps, we can see what 30 years of secularist and de-Christiansing education is only begining to achieve. America once proclaimed ‘in
God we trust’ now American institutions only trust in money and following the social reforms enacted by the liberal coastal states in the lest 40 years. Some of them good btw, but now the law of diminishing returns is starting to apply to the liberal agenda.
Gdp growth in central to what’s going on now. 3% is considered the ideal rate at which an economy can grow, without significantly impacting inflation and requiring interest rate rises. Without 3% growth you either have to stimulate growth with spending packages or cut taxes. Trump is doing both and the effect on the dollar will crush the global economy. Without 3% you don’t need to import migrants because you should be able to fill jobs from within the existing workforce. However the closer you get to full employment the higher inflation rises due to housing competition and needs. Don’t expect a sub-prime housing bubble any time soon. Growth in gdp is nothing like way back then and probobly never will be because of drags on the economy eg aging society and productivity issues. In the feild of war a d geopolitics the US is facing some headwinds but these are not because of defeats, rather it was because of US inacton with regard to Assad. Imho the rise of isis was a play straight out of the famous ‘management of savagery’ the jihadist how to on wrecking societies and establishment of wahabbi rule. My guess is that the Saudi/US wanted to use the ‘caliphate’ as a kind of tool to control muslims to make them accept Israel. Things got out of control though and burning pilots alive and cutting of the heads of innocent 11 year old muslim kids wasn’t where they really wanted islam to go. So Assad is better than human liver eating jihadis….
The global reach of your average crazy isis fan boy is making the deep state rethink its commitment to jihad as a tool to bring down Russia, instead its causing extreme paranoia and fear in the west, Merkel was no help there….
Instead of thinking about ‘US collapse’ we should instead think of them as changes in the world which happens all the time. We can’t stop them, to try would be foolish.

“Who needs “House of Cards” if you can observe British politics…”

    We agree on something.

But I do find it a little contradictory that the Jewish owned Express newspaper has been heavily pro-Brexit, whereas the bulk of left-wing and Jewish types seem to be beside themselves that the British public don’t want to be part of what they see as a stepping stone to a one-world social utopia.

The neocon Jew Nigel Lawson is a pro-Brexit, global warming sceptic. The fact is that on many important issues, there are Jews on both sides of the debate. Something that leads me to question how far the so called Jewish conspiracy really goes and who is actually involved.

  33. Cloggie on Sun, 5th Aug 2018 3:02 pm

The fact is that on many important issues, there are Jews on both sides of the debate. Something that leads me to question how far the so called Jewish conspiracy really goes and who is actually involved.

There is no “Jewish conspiracy” in the sense that every Jew who matters has an electronic device with which he gets updated every hour about what “the Elders from the Sanhedrin” want him/her to think/promote on this and that subject.

The religion is the “conspiracy”, regardless if specific individuals are secular or not. There is a wide self-understanding of being “Gods Chosen People”, or for secular-minded (that is, for most) that they constitute an intellectual elite, with higher than average intelligence, and that they are predestined to play a leading role in the globalist institutions of the presence and even stronger those of the future.

I have yet to find a more expressive quote, highlighting their intentions, than the one from arch-neocon Michael Ledeen:

Creative destruction is our middle name, both within our society and abroad. We tear down the old order every day, from business to science, literature, art, architecture, and cinema to politics and the law. Our enemies have always hated this whirlwind of energy and creativity which menaces their traditions (whatever they may be) and shames them for their inability to keep pace.… [W]e must destroy them to advance our historic mission.

Oh, and that about “our enemies”… he is talking about us, Europeans world-wide, who “need to be destroyed” (via mass-immigration) and race-mixing, so they can fulfill their historic mission (planetary ownership):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP3CnYGCaEE

This is the background. The goal is global power and ownership of the entire planet, now that they already own America and since 1945 its colony Europe (thanks to Winston C.).

Russia and then China are next. Both the Russian and Chinese leadership are fully aware of this and so does Trump.

From now on every subject, like Brexit, is considered in the light: “is it good for the Jews?”. Does it help us reaching our goal, that is, get the world in our hands?

Regarding Jews and Brexit, I am sure you can find Jews in both camps, but my impression is that clearly most Jews are against Brexit.

George Soros, the most public face of the US deep state, is clearly against and wants to reverse it.

Richard Haass, who I consider as the unelected real president of the US (head of the CFR) is against.

    Lord Rothschild is against.

Nigel Lawson is a long retired figure, who occupied himself afterwards with writing dietary books and starring in comedy shows. I don’t think he is very representative.

Having said that, I have the strong impression that organized Jewry no longer believes in its mission, although there are still some soldiering on, like our private little forum charmer millimind:

    https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-09-27/america-s-new-world-order-is-officially-dead

There are simply not enough white self-doubting protestants left, living on a guilt-trip, to get the job done for them. Russians, Chinese, Muslims, as well as imported non-whites to the US, could not care less about the holo-tale.

The great Global-Zion project, that began with the take-over of America by early 1900, that took hold of America’s purse by 1912 (FED), the US government in 1933, the engineered war against Europe together with their brethren in the USSR and Winston C., that project is running out of steam and probably terminally dead.

The only thing left for them is to attempt to at least keep their grip over the US (and Britain) and finish off whitey once and for all. They won’t end up owning the world, but they would have still ownership of a potent country among other potent countries/entities.

“America’s greatest foe isn’t China or Russia — it’s debt”

“How much money America owes its creditors is truly shocking. Total U.S. debt stands at more than $20 trillion. To understand the size and scope of how large this is, that’s more than the total amount of goods and services — what’s commonly referred to as gross domestic product (GDP) — that our nation produces every year. Perhaps worst of all, we pay nothing on the principal, paying only interest on that debt, a staggering estimate of $310 billion for fiscal 2018 alone. “Americans Live In A World Of Lies” It is called brainwashing in some circles. Propaganda in other. The ‘Evening News’ in most of American homes.

“The 3.9% unemployment rate is not due to employment. It results from not counting discouraged workers who have ceased to search for jobs because there are no jobs to be had….

The government tells us that there is essentially no inflation despite the fact that prices have been rising strongly…

Looking at July’s payroll jobs report again we see the Third World complexion of the US work force….

There is scant sign of a vibrant economy, but high debt is everywhere. …

The millions of Americans whose jobs were given away to foreigners know full well that they have not benefited. They know the story told by neoliberal economists and financial presstitutes is a lie….

Russiagate, which has dominated the print and TV media and NPR since the last presidential campaign is a massive lie that continues day after day….

While Americans sit there sucking their thumbs, the coup against the President proceeds before their eyes.”

    Saudi-Arabia breaks with Canada:

    http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/streit-um-menschenrechte-saudi-arabien-weist-kanadischen-botschafter-aus-a-1221773.html

Cause: irritations about Canadian criticism about “human rights”, or Saudi lack thereof.

Diplomatic and business ties are broken off.

Poor KSA, they have nowhere else to go than the West. The alternative is an overthrow of the “House of Saud” by the Muslim Brotherhood, as preferred by Qatar and Iran and probably by Turkey as well.

I don’t give a dime for the prospects of the Saudi regime, that survives only thanks to its alliance with the US/Israel, but has become a liability in the eyes of the Arab masses. If KSA falls, western colonialism in the ME is over and Turkey-Iran will become the new overlords.

Breaking with Canada is a clear act of desperation from the side of the KSA.

US debt has roughly doubled in the past ten years, but interest rates have roughly halved. Interest payments are half a trillion dollars already, at a paltry rate of 2.3%. And total amount borrowed continues to increase at 5% per year, which is faster than economic growth. Without a rapid change in behaviour, you folks are screwed.

The truth is that the liberal-Jewish tyranny that run the UK, are quite safe to do what they please. What remains of the white English do not care. They will happily sit on their hands, whilst bombs are planted; their own young men are beheaded and their daughters are raped. That is British tolerance. Basically, it is complete apathy and laziness. How easy it is to turn the other cheek. It is difficult to respect a people that tolerate a government that allows things like this to happen and then punishes anyone that dares speak up.

The only solution is a rebellion organised by secret societies. But nothing of the sort appears to be happening.

For me the hope lies in Russia, Eastern Europe and Western European populism.

Russia has the J-tiranny already behind it.

For Anglosphere it could just about to begin.

Racial bolshevism could be even more horrific than economic bolshevism. Think forced race-mixing: “give up your genes, evil whitey, or else!”

Search on youtube for “sarkozy white genocide” to get the idea.

That financial mentality was pre new normal that occurred before everything changed. Debt is ubiquitous now. I might add a significant amount of US debt is held internally. The world is full of debt this is not just an American problem. Other countries have even higher debt to GDP. What is debt anyway? It is not physical like oil but systematic and abstract. It is little more than a promise to pay that has become a macro variable that is now central to the generation of economic activity. Not all that economic activity is productive and growth related. Unfunded liabilities are another type of debt and will also come due. We don’t know what is ahead financially but when making statements about debt as something that is going to end things is a lot like the collapse talk here catastrophic peak oil or climate change, it has been off the mark so far. This does not mean it won’t be on the mark tomorrow just that making statement as if the cause and results are know is premature. We may have years of continued debt generation with debt extend and pretend. Debt can and is now being created and destroyed. It is being recycled. The real issues now are behavior and limits. They are about the wrong long term investments. It is about overshoot and the nearness of the crossing of boundaries. It is possible that physical boundaries may get us before abstract systematic boundaries.

“This week’s Treasury Department announcement that it would have to increase the amount of bond auctions over the next three months was a low-key reminder that the government IOU is only getting bigger and will start influencing interest rates sooner rather than later….

    Merkel doomed.

‘Germany dropped the draft in 2011, one of many tenets of conservative orthodoxy brushed aside under Merkel. The new general secretary of Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, has been touring Germany to discuss future policies.

She said over the weekend she doesn’t expect a return to conscription but wants to discuss a vaguely defined “general service obligation.” She left open whether it should be compulsory.’

The CDU will make Germany Great Again by asking nicely if the millions of Turks who love erdogan more than Germany wouldn’t mind to maybe think about doing some nice thing for their country…..
    EU screwed! Germany weak.
