What were the Easter Islanders thinking prior to cutting down the last palm tree? Maybe it went something like this.

If the world didn’t have (any) stupid humans, then the trees would still be around.
Love the Xtranormal bears – though this is not so great/funny – like some I have seen.

Ohio, where I live. Had enough trees in the 1700s to allow squirrels to travel from East to West, and never touch the forest floor. Now, a squirrel wouldn’t have a chance before he gets caught by a hawk or fox. The forestry industry has job requirements that won’t allow someone without a 4+ year degree, to plant a tree for a living. There are thousands of forestry majors with B.S. and associates degree who are very qualified to remedy this situation by planting thousands of trees. Also, the government bodies don’t place much value on trees and forests. The Republicans are really bad when it comes to supporting natural resources related efforts, this area is one of the first places where they want to make budget cuts.
