OF COURSE oil prices are going up. Conventional oil peaked in 2005 and the unconventional oil released by frakking is expensive to produce. Combine that with the internecine religious war in Syria and a potential civil war in Egypt, and ka-ching! Gas goes up.

It obviously has not gone up enough or we would be aggressively cutting back on demand world wide.

Oil prices are up over 300% in the last eight years, and the last 10% rise is all of a sudden considered to be shocking news?
Most people are going to be in for a huge surprise, and a great deal of hurt. Those that are paying attention, would be very well served to start making plans, for a very different future.
