Robert Bryce talks about the necessity to find a way to solve the oil dilemma. He talks about the importance of price in this solving this dilemma. Also in this video he talks about what the governmental involvement.
Well, price matters. We see that today, consumers are buying and they are not buying. The trend is away from the big truck and big SUVs toward smaller cars. Price matters because it is the only thing that is going to lead us away from using fossil fuels until to something else. We are only going to switch away from the fuels we are using now, when we find something that’s cleaner, cheaper, more convenient, faster, etcetera or all of the above. Right, we are not going to quit using fossil fuels just because we decide,

Enough said. This guy is either stupid or pushing some techie fix. We went from wood to wind to coal to oil to coal/wind/wood to…hunter gatherers all in about 300 years. But we will leave some impressive ruins behind. Unfortunately, they will be the pyramids. Nothing we have built since will stand 1,000 years.
