A GLOBAL chocolate shortage could see prices double by 2020, thanks to instability in West Africa, which drives world cocoa production.
So far the looming “choc shock” is failing to deter Australians, like East Lismore’s Alexis Galea, 3, from enjoying plenty of Easter eggs.
Australians this year spent an estimated $185 million on chocolate eggs.

This is a solved problem. Although not enough chocolate bushes, food industry developed cbocolatey coating. It is melted brown crayons with sugar added. The citizenry got so dumb they dont know the difference. Smart rich people can still afford the true chocolate coating.

Chocolate = rich educated people.
Chocolatey = poor ignorant Wal-Mart people.

What “Peak chocolate”? We have three ‘chocolate’ trees on the farm and more to be planted. It grows everywhere here. As do coffee trees. Everyone can have both, anytime. But, if I want a peach, that is a different story. Wrong climate, but I’ll survive.

Chocolate is the cheapest endorphin rush!
Hey, Mak, I found a store over here that carries San Miguel Negra (out of he Philippines for everybody else), their dark beer. An unusual taste for a dark beer that I happen to like. Made in part with roasted malt.
Only in one store that I could find about 150 miles from our home, but I was out that way on business so got some.

Perk, I just tried that flavor a few weeks ago. It is different and I kinda like it but I usually drink San Miguel lite, when I want a beer. It needs to be just above freezing as I am not a big beer drinker. Usually one or two on a hot day is enough. Usually P27/12oz. can. (~$0.60)

Plant more trees. Problem solved. Think of all the rainforest that is being mowed down for soybeans..i’d imagine the same areas could be used for cocoa. If your going to mow down rainforest, at least plant some trees.

Won’t someone stand up for the poor privileged obese pre-diabetic children of the West? What kind of world are we leaving for the children when they can no longer go Cuckoo for Coco Puffs and Count Chocula every morning? Woe
