The era of cheap oil is over. Every individual, business and country that uses imported oil needs to develop a plan for greater energy self sufficiency. The next oil price shock or supply disruption can be disastrous to the economy and national security. We need to diversify our energy sources and types. Bring on the electric, flex-fuel, hybrid, CNG and hydrogen vehicles. When oil prices rise we will be looking for any and all alternatives to fill the gap at a cheaper price. Will the alternatives be there when we need them?
