I love the “crisis presents opportunity” people. Just think, if the people on the Titanic had, had the right frame of mind, they were in the midst of the greatest opportunity of their lives. Those tens of thousands of climate refugees just aren’t acting on the opportunity. Only those sitting in “safety” can think such mindless thoughts.

Eugene – There are winners and losers in every significant dynamic shift. For citizens of fossil fuel consuming industrialized economies the shift was very positive. Royalty owners, be they private of governmental, have collectively lost many $BILLIONS.
China and India are certainly thrilled the crisis with oil prices. The KSA and Chesapeake…not so much. Also: aren’t you personally benefiting for this pricing “crisis”?
And as you point out those that suffer as a result of fossil fuel consumption lose. They lose whether the price of fossil fueks stays high or low.

Whats so great about not having cheap abundant energy on the other side of the peak?
