Nothing but “Fear Porn”. No one knows how the future will exactly play out. All you see and hear are armchair, Monday morning Quarterbacks telling us what will happen.

After complete collapse one can run off and hide in the forest………….maybe not.
We may be witnessing the worst wildfire season in recorded history
“The nation is closing in on its worst wildfire season in recorded history, with nearly 9.8 million acres already burned — the equivalent of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and part of New Hampshire going up in flames.
Two large fires and more than 160 smaller ones remain active, and more fires are expected to be reported before the month ends. Together, they’re likely to push the 2015 total past the record 9.87 million acres burned in 2006.”

A Resource We’ve Got Plenty Of
“Earlier in the talks, on December 2, U.K. sustainability scientists gave a presentation at Paris on the state of the world’s soils.
Speaking today (Wednesday 2 December 2015) at the 21st Conference of the Parties in Paris, experts from the University of Sheffield’s Grantham Center for Sustainable Futures revealed that nearly 33 per cent of the world’s arable land has been lost to erosion or pollution in the last 40 years and vital action must now be taken to prevent the devastating knock-on effects…
Duncan Cameron, Professor of Plant and Soil Biology at the University of Sheffield, said: “Soil is lost rapidly but replaced over millennia and this represents one of the greatest global threats for agriculture.
“Erosion rates from ploughed fields average 10-100 times greater than rates of soil formation and nearly 33 per cent of the world’s arable land has been lost to erosion or pollution in the last 40 years.
“This is catastrophic when you think that it takes about 500 years to form 2.5 cm of topsoil under normal agricultural conditions. A sustainable model for intensive agriculture could combine the lessons of history with the benefits of modern biotechnology.””

After the collapse avoid, at all costs, Conservatards, especially if you live in the US. These are some of the angriest and dumbest people on the planet. Why they are angry at climate scientist is beyond me. Think about it. Since the whole climate change debate has started, all society has ever done was increased emissions. We have burned more, not less. In addition, in America and Canada we have increased greatly our fossil fuel exploration and extraction. This is everything these people want. So why are they so angry? Maybe someone is using them? Taking their anger over their failure to succeed, their poor choices in life and directing it elsewhere. The scientists just do the science, they don’t make any policy decisions. That would be politicians. The same ones who they voted for that have been impoverishing them for the last 4 decades. So far the politicians have only helped to increase the extraction and usage of fossil fuel. What’s next? Death threats to biologists because they disagree with their findings of cancer? If your going to get violently angry about something, shouldn’t you make sure it’s actually happening first? Correct me if I’m wrong, but won’t 2015 come in as the record for oil usage? Miles driven? These people need jobs or a hobby or girl friend or something.
Climate Denial’s Ugly Side: Scientists’ Hate Mail
With their work in the crosshairs of a political ideology, climate scientists find themselves under attack via the Internet.
“InsideClimate News spoke to nearly a dozen climate scientists and communicators about the harassment they face. For them, death threats, sexist remarks, claims of fraud, bomb threats, letters laced with powdery substances, references to rape and Nazis have become almost standard. According to emails shared with ICN, messages range from derisive (“I hope your mental illness gets better”) to downright threatening (“YOU ARE GOING TO HANG SOON!”).
Katharine Hayhoe of Texas Tech University, who does outreach with evangelical Christians, says she can receive up to 200 emails and letters a day following a media appearance, telling her she’s a fraud and a liar, threatening her family and challenging her religious views. People have also shown up unannounced and agitated at her office to confront her about her scientific views.
“One email I got said something like, ‘I hope your child sees your head in a basket after you’ve been guillotined for all the fraud you climate scientists have been committing,'” Hayhoe said.
“There are people who become dedicated to following you, who have Google alerts set up on your name, who stalk your Twitter and Facebook accounts, who essentially make a career out of ridiculing and vilifying you,” Hayhoe said.”

Many want to believe that humanity will just go quietly into the night without a fuss or breakdown, but…
Look around. Especially at the crumbling US. 20% of the population on tranquilizers. Another 60% or more on ‘drugs’ of choice: alcohol, painkillers, cocaine, ecstasy, etc. Black Friday’s biggest sale item was personal guns. 47,000,000 on Food Stamps. Over 50% of the population on some form of direct government dole, not to mention that 100% are in a very highly subsidized economy that will end with the crash.
When the SHTF, what do you think will happen when realty hits them between the eyes with that big 2X4? A kumbaya party? Nope. I see riots that will make the ME look like a tea party. Looting by gangs everywhere until there is nothing left to loot. Death and destruction on a scale not seen since the sack of Rome. And few will be able to avoid it because it will be your neighbors. Maybe a nuke exchange would be better? At least it would be over quickly for most. We shall see.
