My Tube is pretty slow but I think I've seen the show or one like it. The test I saw had subjects play Monopoly with one person given an unfair advantage; more money to start, more for passing Go etc. When that random "Privileged" person then did better in the game, even though the "fix" was known, they started "acting" as if they actually had done it themselves, like "they built it" as it were, lol They used more demanding language, they even ate more M&Ms from the common bowl than the other players.

I think you hit the nail on the head Keith, the people we most often hear about in the media are not the poor people who worked 18 hour days for many years to build a business out of nothing but sweat equity, the ones we hear about are the Bankers, Lawyers, Politicians and Inside Traders who game the system thinking they will never get caught.

I wonder how much of it has to do with the press jumping on each and every person running a company who has been indited for one reason or another and not bothering to report on the huge numbers of drug/weapons related cases that are an almost everyday occurrence in the US.
So are you including those drug lords from inner cities in this analysis? They certainly didn't have any wealth before they entered into their particular ventures. You can bet that Pablo Escobar wasn't famously wealthy before he became a drug kingpin. Lets look at the US history...the Cosa Nostra was populated from wealthy Italian families?
I don't have the statistics but are the prisons full of wealthy, fat lawyers and accountants rather than gang bangers, drug lords and mafiosas?
Not saying there aren't some bad eggs out there in the business world but I don't think they are a special case. People have different mindsets. You can be a millionaire sociopath or a sociopath selling drugs on the street. I have a very hard time seeing the difference.

Another little study I saw tallied the cars that stopped for pedestrians in crosswalks, the result was just what you'd expect, the more expensive the car, the less likely to stop.

I call it the entitlement syndrome. I spent many years doing a job where one of my duties was to direct and park traffic when needed and I can attest to the fact that the people most likely to ignore directions and park wherever the heck they want too fall at the ends of the spectrum. The very wealthy people often feel entitled to park where they want because they have places to go and things to do, but by the same token the structurally poor who own junky cars behave the same way because nobody has a right to look down on them and tell them what to do. 99% of the people in the middle park where you point for them to park, only 80% or so of the Entitled wealthy and Entitled poor do the same thing. It is all about the attitude, the majority of people on both ends are understanding and polite but the jerks on the ends stick out and get noticed.
