Crapola! What a bunch of shitheads. As an Engineer, I toured our local wastewater treatment plant. Quite an experience, if you're never had the privilege!

At that time, they would burn off their gas into the atmosphere. There was a continuous flame about 1 foot high. Upon inquiry, we were told that the gas would have to be purified to be of any practical use, and that, because of the cost and potential liablilities, the burning was a better option. It's good to see research in this area.

I think methane production is a very viable technology, considering all the crap in this world. Additional research isn't especially necessary, what is needed is widescale implementation. This can be done on a household scale or industrial scale.
