So I just found out that this company called Gridpoint is moving into my neighborhood.

I did a little asking and apparently they are a relatively new startup that have a lot of financial backing. They deploy systems for energy supply and demand management. Such things as distributed energy production down to control of individuals thermostats for peak load management. I'm guessing that you would get people to agree to that by offering steep discounts on the energy itself over people who don;t want to participate.

Anyway, anybody heard of this company or others like it and what do you see as the future of this? If its good I might go apply for a job since its only a few blocks away now!
