I watched this, twice. I felt it was pretty well done, great photography, and it approached the subject from several different angles. For it's targeted audience, I would give it an A. At least as good as Al Gores movie.

Did it cover everything? No, but how much can you cram into two hours.

When I first saw the title, before learning it was by DeCaprio, I thought it might be an oil-industry production promoting the coming "flood of oil". Color me Clueless in Shasta Lake. LOL!

I watched the film and I thought it was unremarkable, nothing new here, at least for people who are active on this board.

There was one scene where an Indian woman was chastising DeCaprio for not leading by example. She was 100% right, if the leaders and people involved in this movement really, really cared, they would lead by example; and it is not happening:

My assessment of the documentary is actually favorable and, of course, really NOTHING new for any of us. However, as a synopsis of 'Here we are now', I am awaiting the next documentary with invariably another celebrity presenter, maybe, ten years from now, that STILL nothing is being done about AGW!

I thought it was well done and generally pretty accurate--not overly complicated and drove the point that we are out of time for faffing about. A great way to introduce people to (nearly) the entirety and enormity of the situation. Nothing new to those of us in the know but very worthwhile for those who are not. A very good visual CliffsNotes, if you will.

I particularly likes the part with Michael Mann re death threats juxtaposed to the denier vitriol. Is it those silly grant chasing scientists pulling down $100k at a time or the oil industry pulling in billions throwing the "hoax?" As usual, follow the money.

Watched it this morning. I found it to be an echo chamber style reporting a set of talking points. Boring and pointless. Sad really, at least An Inconvenient Truth was entertaining.

This film was not made for those of us here at po.com It was made for that suburbanite in South Florida who has only recently begun to get a bit agitated that the high tide rising out of the storm sewers in his front yard does not jibe with what conservative news outlets have been telling him.

I watched it the other night on line. I thought it did an excellent job. In fact, Decaprio, as narrator, did not hide his deeper pessimism that there really is not a painless exit strategy. That gave the film some depth actually.

At this point any multi media without explicit sense of urgency about these topics is pretty worthless even if explaining the details of our overshoot predicament
