Running out of Planet to Exploit

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut this time may be different: concerns about what happens when an ever-growing world economy pushes up against the limits of a finite planet ring truer now than they did in the 1970s.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'E')ven if it turns out that we’re really at or near peak world oil production, that doesn’t mean that one day we’ll say, “Oh my God! We just ran out of oil!”...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'D')on’t look now, but the good times may have just stopped rolling.

I generally like Krugman. I think he's principled, but unfortunately is dependant on his corporate masters maintaining the status quo. He must be very PO aware, but also needs to think about paying is mortgage, finishing his next book deal, and saving for retierment. I think this keeps him from really displaying much he knows about how messed-up things truly are. It must have been hard for him to write even this milque-toast "warning" about peak oil.

Krugman has been pretty "out there" for years. He doesn't seem particularly owned, to me. :)

He usually looks a bit maniacal to me. It's those crazy eyes. Not a bad article for the NY Times though.
