Won't Get Fooled Again?

Unread postby Gazzatrone » Sat 19 May 2007, 07:56:49

Finally somone speaking with their head on their shoulders. As the Who's Roger Daltrey arguably questions to need for Live Earth.

Roger Daltrey
"Bo***cks to that! The last thing the planet needs is a rock concert.
I can't believe it. Let's burn even more fuel."

Extreme maybe but does he have a valid point? Considering that Green is the new party political colour. Have issues surrounding Climate Change formed a comfort zone for politicians. Start talking about Climate Change and people listen, you don't have to do anything, just appear to be doing something by listening and agreeing. And so we have Climate change policy rhetoric.

Maybe it is about time people started doing, but doing in a fashion that breaks the comfort zone.
THE FUTURE IS HISTORY!

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

In an interesting twist... Bollocks (sp?) isn't cursing in the US & requires no special censorship.

what's that mean anyway... Shit? Fuck? What?

Bollocks is slang for testicles, and is considered a very mild, often socially acceptable expletive.

It is even considered a delicacy in some countries.
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

"Bollocks" is a completely acceptable word for "testicles".

For example, recently Katkinkate posted a link to an marijuana oil vaporizer whose catchy slogan was, "Have you always wanted to get your lips around the dog's bollocks? Well, now you can!"

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('katkinkate', 'T')his is what I mean.

Volcano

As you can see, the term is used quite freely in Australian commercial literature.

Edit: Oops...correction... I just hit the link to see the ad once again and they actually DO have the the first "o" in "bollocks" astrixed out. So, I'm sorry, it must indeed be a mild oath.
