$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kevincarter', 'T')his documentary gives a comprehensive explanation of how does the 3rd world debt system work, it uses the example of Jamaica.
It’s easy; in order to get a 3rd world country’s resources by peaceful meanings a credit system is set. You need the cash? No problem, IMF gives you credit, BUT, you must eliminate all taxes to imported goods (that means we can sell as much as we want in your country). What happens next is that your country’s economy is totally destroyed by cheap imports, mainly subsided food that is cheaper than the one you can produce. You can’t repay the loan? No problem, BUT, you must privatize and form now on you are not allowed to lend money to farmers at a credit rate below 23%. You need more money? No problem, BUT...
I have no idea how this all works, but I can believe that we would ineffect 'drive to slavery' any pple that would allow us to do so.
We are greedy evil pple. We feed off the misfortunes of others and exploit any crack in the wall.
Is there any depth that mankind will not sink too.
Faced with the loss of the world he knows, the only world he knows I might add, do we stop and say 'OMG, what have we done'. No, we keep on strip mining, drilling for more oil, burning coal and tearing up the oceans, mountains and deserts. Deforestation has not stopped even though scientist have said it must. How many species have we eleminated totally. How many that we dont even know about have we eleminated.
The dollar has replaced GOD. We spend every ounce of available energy chasing the dollar, exploiting fellow humans, waging wars on humans and just generally disregarding our one charge. The planet we live on.
Humans were once benign in nature, but civilization has programmed this curent lot of monkeys to chase the dollar at all costs, to the ends of time if need be. We are the most evil creature walking the face of the earth. We know this and do nothing about it.
How can you be surprised anymore at what man will do to man. The more I think about it, maybe the universe would be a better place without us in it. We have shown no ability to recognize a gift, appreciate that gift or ability to care about that gift. Instead we get it and assume we are king of that world and can controll others in that world. What assinine and presumpcious creatures we are indeed.
