Heard some fascinating Aztec or was it May legends about black ocean in the Gulf etc. before end-of-time (i.e. huge oil spills)
Don't remember all the details, but has anyone here recently read any of these that match into out peak oil era?

The Maya calendar seems to end with the expected major effects o peak oil. Explanation I heard on documentary was that the end of the calendar symbolises the end of an era during which time humanity must chose heaven or hell. Like to remember that it was part of the prophecy (perhaps inca or aztec if not maya) that the world would become slaves to technology and it would become its doom unless we managed to breakfree and learn to live in harmony with the world.

Don't have to believe it all to be fascinating/exciting stories to read.

I skimmed though the article and am not so certain as of why this certain Dr. Allan Ross is all from a sudden the speaker of the tribe.
It got especially fishy with the UFO remark at the end, which is where I usually close the doors for business.

Haven't seen your quivering snout responses for some time now and I must say I've missed them.
I am always looking for a head's up on what is to come, but after this weekend (weatherwise-uneventfull but it could have been challenging), I'm planning for an uncertain future-as per usual.

Oh shit, that Hopi prophecy says the United States will be destroyed by nuclear bombs. Sometimes I really wished I could get the hell out of this country and just live on some tropical island somewhere.

Honestly though a quick dieoff with nuclear bombs would be more humane than starvation, diesease, lack of clean water, exposure to weather, and all the other shit we are facing. As long as you are where the blast takes place so you go out quickly and not from the radiation effects.

Well this sorta ties in with some "strange" unexplained stuff.

Bradshaw rock art, is ancient, older than any other surviving "art" in the world. The biggest mystery is it just showed up complete and detailed in everyway with no record of the artists "learning" how to make them.

Then they went through a process of de-evolving in to simpler art before disappearing altogether.
