Ever heard of the comprehensive annual financial report ? Apparantly, the government is taking massive amounts of your tax money, and using it to buy up everything. Dow stocks etc etc.

It's just theft on an unimaginable scale.

It's one way to keep the illusion of a healthy economy going I suppose.

Crash is too little a world to describe what is going to happen when everything is down, before the market could crash, now it needs to be pumped up so it doesn't (like the dollar by the way). Is true, the The Great Depression is going lo look like Disneyland...

If the coming crash will make the Great Depression look like Disneyland, then we have hope.

I think you mean Disney World.

I have a little gold tucked away. I think fractional gold will do the best. Krugerrands and other 1 oz coins are already out of Joe and Sally Sixpack's range. Do you think gold will become more affordable when the crash is coming/hits? NO!

If it came down to bartering things like sovereigns and 1/4 oz or 1/10 eagles, you'd be able to command a premium for those coins, as those MIGHT be the only coins in Joe and Sally's range.

You should buy a few of those 500 coin "monster boxes" of silver (eagles or maples).

I'd stay the hell away from bars. Investment wise, they are great, but if/when TSHTF, how long do you think your life expectancy will be if it is known that Peter the Peak Oiler is trying to peddle a brick of silver or gold. Your life expectancy will be as long as it takes for a guy with a gun to find you.

Sheesh. If the government didn't prop up the stock market, prop up dodgey loans to 3rd world tinpot dictators, bail out hedge funds for the extremely wealthy and alow the rich to stash their gains in offshore taxx hevens, then the unthinkable might happen - Rich people might lose money! Just imagine the horror of rich people being forced to delay the purchase of their second private jet. I'm sure you understand we can't allow that to happen.

With a wife and 3 kids, I never have time to watch these 2 hour videos you all link so I would appreciate it if someone could summarize the salient points.

main points

The government lies about how much money they get from tax and how much they have to spend.
The government runs gigantic surpluses.
This money is used to buy up everything, the stock market etc.
The government now owns over 70% of the dow jones.

The end of the video covers the income tax, and the fact that the IRS is just a collection agency for the private banks, and that it's just really theft on a huge scale.
