What are some of the best nuclear plays? It seems to me that the two obvious ones are Cameco and Exelon. The return on Cameco alone over the past 3 months is startling, yet I think it's attributable to minerals other than Uranium. Are Toshiba and Westinghouse too much of a stretch?

Finally, what are some of the riskier, short-term plays? For example, let's assume that President Bush announces something along the lines of a nuclear roadmap tonight. Who is going to experience a bump?

I'm not ready to trade on margin, but I may be tempted to buy some call options.

Found it by web scrounging for diversification possibilities around CCJ, info available was heavy on geological survey estimates as opposed to investor presentation type materials, chief engineer a Wyoming state senator, CFO a 30-something Hindu computer jockey, both been plugging away at it since '98 with little to show for their efforts but steady confidence nonetheless, somehow felt promising so I made the leap of faith and gained 80% in 4 months. Another leap of faith much less rewarding was LARAMIDE, recommended on Nightly BUsiness Report by James Dines so I thought maybe it would ride on his coat tails, but as yet only slightly higher.

There's tons of little uranium producers that trade on the Toronto and Venture exchanges, such as:
IUC
DEN
SXR
UEX
CXX.V
JNN.V
MGA.V
AFLUY

But they're probably not worth bothering with. Cameco has a 70% monopoly on the entire worlds supply of uranium. It really is the only pure nuclear play. Everybody knows it, and that's why people are paying a P/E of 90 for it.
