Mapping reality

Unread postby Teclo » Tue 12 Jul 2005, 17:43:12

I don't believe in an organised conspiracy or the official spin. Just my attempt at mapping reality

I see the PTB (powers that be) all over the place in all cultures and really the PTB are fighting each other leaving most of us left behind not wishing to fight. Then propaganda, emotional arguments and civilian casualties will draw us in

The advantage of the west is that we are given more of a voice than other cultures, so we have demanded the changes we want. But we are still not really free and we are probably deceiving ourselves to think we can enlighten others by force, we are not really enlightened ourselves yet

I know our leaders in my blood, I don't think they would sign off terrorist acts on purpose. Why would they need to since indirectly they were responsible for the terrorists existing in the first place? If they wanted it all they have to do is not solve the problem and wait
I find that just too circular to be true as if it was one well organised conspiracy. I see it as more an unconscious irrational collection of power centres that are continually subject to change

One thing I fear about circular conspiracies is that they are self contained and won't therefore effect public opinion. People internally file them away with all the others as non-challenging. If there is no alternative voice that goes above higher than all the other voices then the powers will prevail over us. I see this happening now following the terrorist attacks the right wing forces are emboldened while the liberals are not being inspirational mostly because of political correctness, once in the 60's we really did believe we could be 'one' now they treat it like a theology but it has to come from within, I think anyway

I think the PTB must be aware of the problems we are facing and must be very concerned. As the power in the world is not one minded, but a kind of market forces, political spin & war the world cannot make a plan of sustainability for the future.

I'm very glad i live in a place where i can say what i want (pretty much), but i would be concerned about free speach if I were a political leader, i said concerned, not going all for it in a tyranical way, and i think thats what i see happening here.

I think Peak Oil has one good side in that the people in power can see its limitations if they are aware of the issue. It may mean more democracy rather than less liberty(call it Fascist, communist, socialist whatever).

But that would be after some hunger and shit
