If there is a problem with content, what is the feedback and communication protocol? I would like to know the issues surrounding the 'clean shaven post peak' thread. Your friendly, oblidging peakoil.com member PMS

The clean shaven post peak thread has a tag in front of it that says moved. It is now not possible for that thread to update if it is posted to. What happened?

It's in the planning for the future forum now. I guess it was determined to be useful and not just idle chit chat

Let me preface my post by saying I didn't move the thread, and don't know who did....

I'm curious. Which forum was it originally posted in?

Right here in the everything goes FREE FORUM, where I post 99.9% of all my posts because I'm a freedom loving person. I used to post lighthearted stuff in other forums but they always got deleted so I figured Open Forum is more interesting and the place to be for me. Now I feel like I can't post whatever I want to post in my thread because its in a stuffy 'serious' forum.

With the same preface as before...I didn't move your thread, and don't know who did (or, for that matter, why)...

It's my understanding that your thread was perfectly appropriate for the open discussion forum.

On that basis, please accept my apologies on behalf of whoever moved it. At the least, you should have been given the courtesy of a private message to notify and explain. This is particularly so because you've been a member for quite some time.

May I suggest that you send a private message to Aaron if this happens again? For moderation to work, it must be seen as fair and equitable, and I can understand how you feel it hasn't been in this instance.

That's a good suggestion, Jack. A short PM to the author of a thread telling them where something has been moved. I don't mind if it gets moved to a Planning Forum. The only other time I saw that 'moved' notice was for something objectionable so I thought there was a problem with the thread. Everything's cool. Hopefully somebody over there will think the shaving option is a good one to take and I will have done my good deed for today!

Well defending whoever moved the post the initial information about the shaving pucks and how long they last was pretty useful and does fit in the planning for the future forum quite well.

The follow up about battery life was also informative if a little miss placed for easy searching.
