Good things about expensive oil

Unread postby nocar » Mon 04 Apr 2005, 10:53:10

I'm looking forward to a summer vacation in the Baltic with noticeable effects of expensive oil. Fewer fast motor boats and water scooters. Both are noisy and horrible things, especielly if you happen to travel by kayak.
:-D.

(The E.U. has recently decided that the Swedish ban on the new motor toy called water scooters (or water mopeds?) is illegal, so we were dreading the effects. Hopefully peak oil will put a damper on this kind of playfulness.)

What do you find to be good about expensive oil?

-traffic is much lighter, the poor and stupid can't afford to commute 60miles to work anymore!

-less pollution, less noise

-my rail stocks are doing quite well, thank you!

What happens if we run out of meat and have to live on crab meat?
