check on www.800herbdoc.com for getting to know you intestinal system and how to cleanse it (over months at a time without solid food - no problem. Any kind of disease dissapears at some point of this methond, including cancer and other incurables).
and for advanced stages after that do reseach on breatherinaism. That is purely spiritual though and should not be mixed with Schulze!!! It has nothin to do with it. Just my addition!

When I had my four wisdom teeth pulled Christmas of last year, I didn't eat anything for a little over 24 hours. Of course, I spent most of my time laying in a recliner, watching Comedy Central.

Never did, but once during an adventure trip in Egypt desert I only got a piece of bread and a Coke for the whole day. It was terrific... you begin to look at camels guessing if they are good with fried potatoes!

No, but spent 5.5 days (3 working) on nothing but brown rice with boiled onions & mushrooms, and thats was bad enough. Shoulda fasted, at least would have had hallucinations to go with the nausea.

On the liquid purification thing, my close obs of 1 person (my boss at the time) who did it suggest should do it on a holiday/retreat, not in 'regular life'. He got very weak after ~ 2weeks, had coupla fainting spells. I got fitter (more work), he got clean.. guess its a deal.

They say that one is less hungry after the first 24 hours of fasting, but I can't tell by personal experience.

From my experience, keeping warm, drinking enough and avoiding any hard exercise (moderate exercise, like walking, doesn't seem to be a problem) is the best way of dealing with a period of fast.

It seems to be easier for women than men. But if you are a woman, fasting is quite incompatible with oral contraceptives. You get horrible sugar downs and you feel all depressed and miserable.

Also, if you have little food for a period of time, eating once a day a decent meal seems to work better than trying to spread small amounts of food along the day.

After a fast, the best thing to eat is fruit and starchy food (bread, rice, potatoes).

Good question , kochevnik.

Last time in my college holidays , I try breatherinaism. I ate nothing for one week. However I drink a lot of plain water (boil tap water). Result , no fainting spells but body grew so weak that I don 't poop anymore after 3 days. However I continue to walk around like usual and my sleeping hours increase to 12 hours or more a day. Forgot to measure my weight.

At the 8 th day, I poop and my shit is white in color. I am alarmed by this symptoms and eat like a crazy hog that night.

BorneoRagnarok,

What you did has nothing to do with Bretharianism, it is simply called fasting.

I wouldn't do it, at least drink fruit or vegetable juices and make sure your intestinal system keeps operating (see my link to Schulze - 800herbdoc.com - this is his credo and I use his method from time to time.

Bretherinaism on the other hand is a spiritual method with the omission of food and water as simply a side effect.

It is probably way too advanced to discuss it on a message board like that.

Wow, I thought fasting is different from breatharianism. It is fasting with a purpose . That purpose is perpetual fasting by continuous nourishing by sunlight and air without dying. 8 years ago I am fan of this method. The web site is at http://livingonlight.org/. Of course , now I know better..

I am not qualified for Prana.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')What Indian sages thousands of years ago called "prana", the ancient Chinese named "chi" or "ki" and the Druids refer to as "od" or "id". It is commonly agreed, that prana is the life force but too small or etheric to be perceived by any kind of instrument or measuring device to date.

Modern science has found that our seemingly so solid world vibrates in an eternal dance of swirling atoms. These in turn consist of even smaller and smaller particles, which finally turn out to be pure energy (prana) densified in various wavelets and aggregates to form matter.

In general, there are two things which we take in when we breathe. One is air and the other is prana, pure life-force energy itself, more vital than air for our existence. If you take away air, you have a couple of minutes before you die; if you take away water, you have even more time; and if you take away food you have much more time still, but if you break prana from spirit, death is instantaneous (1). So taking in prana with breath is absolutely crucial in sustaining our life.

While we are on the topic of not eating, have you heard this song?
http://www.geocities.com/cutterslut/holy.html
Holy
Nicole Blackman/Golden Palominos

I eat only sleep and air
and everyone thinks i'm dumb
But i'm smart because i've figured it out
I am slimmer than you are
And I am burning my skin off little by little
until I reach bone and self
until i get to where I am essential
until I get to where I am
Food doesnt even tempt me anymore
Because I am so full of energy and sense
I can even pass by water now
Because I am living off the parts of me that I don't need anymore
I could feel the slow drips of pain before
swirling inside where my lungs should have been
now i'm clean inside
I threw out hundreds of things that I didn't need anymore
All my dresses and bras
Stupid things like jeans and socks
Most days I float thru the house naked so I can see myself in the mirrors
I have hundreds of them everywhere
And they talk back to me all the time
They keep me true and pure
They make sure I'm still here
When I knew what I had to do
I took all my notebooks, all my manuscripts
And ate them page by page so I could take my words with me
I can finally control my life and even death
And I will die slowly like steam escaping from a pipe
This is my greatest performance
and all of the actresses who won my parts will say how wonderful
to let yourself go that mad
how wonderful to go on this kind of journey
and not care if you come back to tell the story
I scratch words on the walls now so people will visit this museum
and know how someone like me ends up like this
(they'll say there is art in here somewhere)
Everything that comes out of me is sacred
every fingernail, every eyelash, every hair
starvation is sacred and i scratch my bones against the windows at night
I light candles and feel myself evaporate
this body is a little church, a little temple
You can't see me now because i've gone inside
My family doesnt call anymore
My friends don't call anymore
You can't hurt me anymore. They can't hurt me anymore
Only I can
And that's okay
I don't need them anymore. I can live off me
I speak to me. i dance with me
I eat me
When they find me, I'll have a little smile on my face
And they'll wrap me in a white cloth and lay me in the ground
and say they don't understand
but I do. I don't hurt anymore
I'm not lonely anymore. I'm not sad I'm not pretty anymore
I made it through
I feel so holy and clean when i stretch out on the floor and sing
sometimes god comes in for a minute and says i'm doing fine
I'm almost there
Everyday I get a little closer to vanishing
Some days I can't stand up because the room moves under my feet
and i smile because I'm almost there, I'm almost an angel
One day when I am thin enough I'll go outside fluttering my hands so I can fly
And I will be so slight
That I will pass through all of you silently like wind

I fasted once for 24 hrs before an op. I didn't feel to bad, I had imagined it would be way worse. No headaches or anything. I'd rather not repeat it though.
We've tried nothin' and we're all out of ideas.
