I know it's sick. I detest the man..an unintelligent partisan hack steeped in mom and pop apple pie kill the commies/muslims/gays race baiting faux patriot. But his washington politics forum rockks!! The threads move fast. There's plenty of liberals, libertarians neocons and paleocons there to mix it up...so things get heated...very fun to watch. As much as I love this place, the pace is often glacial and dissent is not tolerated well...thus fairly boring.

anyways I admit it I'm hooked over there. What's your favorite forum?

Yes.

I always thought that a site that contrasted Doom vs The Singularity would be a boiling cauldron of views, news and ideas. Popular politics doesn't interest me much though. Seems very contrived and artificial, designed for mass consumption and controlled by the media. Am I wrong?

I wish we did not have a two-party system in this country. I'd rather there be a parliamentary system where a party had to get at least 5% of popular support for it to win seats in parliament. I'd like to see about 5 political parties warring for votes so we don't have this Manichean left/right, conservative/liberal thing going on quite so much.
