$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Sixstrings', 'W')ow, very informative videos. It's really a travesty how every household appliance uses energy on standby. I mean, there really is no reason a freaking stove should use energy 24/7.
Great system you have with your water.. with those filters lasting 3-4 years, that's something you can stock up on and still have clean water for years post-collapse.
Again really amazing, you're all perfectly set up there. I have a kill switch on my water heater.. I just flip it on to take a shower, only takes 15 minutes to heat up, then I flip it off after. So my heater is on only 30 minutes per day. I've never understood why people need hot water all the time.. waiting 15 minutes for a shower is no big deal, and hot tap water serves no purpose in cooking.
I wash my clothes in cold water too, I agree with you that washing in hot water is unnecessary. Welcome to the forum by the way.. you're certainly one person Pops can never tell to "stop talking and start doing."
You are more prepared than the unprepared masses yourself....awareness is a form of preparation....
