People afraid of "socialism" should give up social security, libraries, buy their food and drugs in Mexico where they don't have those pesky laws, not use public roads, etc. This is just more mindless hypocrisy.

Funny, though.

I'll do it in a heart beat. Give me back my taxes and social security I have paid in over the last 40 years and I will be a rich man.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cloud9', 'I')'ll do it in a heart beat. Give me back my taxes and social security I have paid in over the last 40 years and I will be a rich man.

Feel free. Oh, but please return anything you might have benefitted from in the last 40 years like the defense system, the monetary system, your current health due to drug and food regulation, your "weekend" time for 40 years (bargained for by unions), your Mom and Dad's social security and medicaire, and if you live in a rural area, there's the bill for the electricity your area first received through the rural electrification programs. I imagine that'll be a chunk of money. Just make it out to the treasury. Now go and enjoy whatever 3rd world hellhole without these things that you imagine to be some sort of paradise.

Nonsense. Bernanke and/or Geithner are a very high class of criminal, as is most of K Street. Which is the problem of course. It's not conservative or liberal, republicans or democrat. K Street represents the most powerful political force in the world, money. High class, old money. The rest is a sham. A little whoopee dance for the rubes so that they think they have some say.

After observing the Bush administration at work from this side of the pond I agree.
