Quite - what does it mean?

I have difficulties with the word quite. What does mean?

I'm not particularly anal about precision, but if somethings quite good. Is it good or not!! If your partner says 'How do I look?" and you say "Quite good". Should they get changed or what?

I've more or less stopped using the word in exasperation!

Try dictionary.com. Otherwise, be quite.
