General anxiety disorder is right up there behind congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis as far as being disabling.

Yep. It's really difficult for a person to feel healthy when they're curled in a fetal position in bed all day everyday, unable to stop crying.

I lived with two very close people to me who were clinically depressed. It is no cakewalk for anyone involved, let me tell you.

I've always debated in my own head if they would have been able to pull themselves out of their depression on their own if they really tried. It definitely crippled them at times and both had attempted suicide at least once.

I have felt tinges of depression intermittently one time in my past after a rough experience. But I recognized what it was and was able to rid myself of the state after lots of mental and physical work to literally get it out of my body. It's like an infestation.

Remember, you must always have an excape route once you start getting those cold sweats, the heart rate skyrocets and your head starts spinning.

FYI: Being in a windowless room with flouresent lights on all day will be enough to drive [s]some[/s] me crazy.
