I so hope they re-release the original Twilight Zones in blu ray. I would pick up a full set in an instant. It's a "desert island" show.

I'd like to see the one where Steve McQueen gambles his finger that his cigarette lighter will light 10 times in a row, the one where Agnes Morehead on a lonely farm fights off tiny spacemen, and the one where Burgess Meredith survives a nuclear attack in a bank vault.

I used to watch the Twilight Zone marathons on... whatever channel it was.

Then I caught the premiere of The Outer Limits rebirth series.

...I was astounded. The same theory behind the two shows, the complete disparity in presentation and tone. I was glued to my set for years watching original and rerun episodes (and the remakes of the originals were generally quite good, to my surprise).

Favorites to this day : "Stream of Consciousness" and "Josh."

Ahhh yes... To Serve Man...

Always was one of my favorite series growing up. Lot of people knocked his later Night Gallery series as a weak reprise, but I always thought it was pretty good as well.

I had an uncle (died some years back) who was a personal friend and worked with Rod back in his early radio days at WKRC in Cincinnati. I remember him telling me once that Serling was incredibly insightful and visionary even then, and that much of his material never saw the light of day because it was either too controversial or simply considered too 'deep' by the media PTB for public consumption.

Great stuff...

A little something for Vision-Master.

Rod was originally lined up to be the host of In Search Of before he died and Nimoy took over.

Saw them all, first run, when I was a kid. Watched the weekly show religiously.
