The deal is, it looks like I'm going to be WWOOFing next year. Talked to my dad about it, he was unhappy...oh well. My mom was OK with it, despite her finding this utterly strange and she'd rather see me go back to school.

I already talked to a place near Austin that was a part of WWOOF.

1990-2008 has mostly been crap. I'm looking forward to 2009.

I'm wondering if I should let my mom know about the energy situation. She's been complaining and worrying about what's been happening for the past month, but she's not a "doomer" which is why she'd rather see me go to school. Everyone knows a college degree is a magic bullet to all your financial problems.

college degree = job = money = live long and prosper

This might be a good time to let her in on it.
