Red Hot Riding Hood

I could have put this in the Cult Classics thread, but Tex Avery deserves a thread of his own. He is the creator of Bugs Bunny, the greatest cartoon creation of all time. In fact, I rate Tex above R. Crumb. Enough of my nerd ramblings, heeere's Tex!!

Preston Blair's Red Hot drawings were sometimes stolen right off the board. I have an original Blair Red Hot cell bought on ebay.
Al Capp's "Wolf Gal" is also one hot cartoon chick.
So is Bob Clampett's "So White" from the hilariously politically-incorrect "Coal Black and the Sebben Dwaeves".

You ought to show us this stuff. You figured out how to do that on public library computers?

"Coal Black and the Sebben Dwarfs" is on you tube and guba (the banned cartoons site). Warning: racial stereotypes may be offensive.

I see your point. Angelfood McSpade was one of R. Crumb's notable creations. I always assumed it was a wry commentary on American racism.

Yes, I doubt the racial/sexual/violent humor of 70 years ago was meant to be ironic or facetious. Who would make a cartoon now where the protagonist commits suicide and it is supposed to be funny?
