I watch TV and I hardly ever buy anything. Guess it doesn't work on me...



Unless they're implanting secret messages to rush out and buy beans, rice, edible plants, water tanks, shotguns, etc....

Bear in mind, that experiment had nothing to do with TV/Movies etc. They were subconciously affected by all things around them and it came out when the context suggested it.
TV is just one media or tool for brainwashing, but technically it can happen anywhere.

On the same site you can however find an example of where in an American TV Show they put in a one fram advertisement. (MCDonalds during Iron Chef. I guess food show should make people hungry so the MCD add would have better effect.)
Similarly FOX put in the word RAT in one frame during un-favored politicians speech.
