Why? Barack Saddim Hussian Osama bin Laden as a nice ring to it. Kinda sums things up pretty good.

Nah. Obama is the new Herbert Hoover.

He'll get elected. The economy will degrade. He'll propose this, that, and the other. The economy will degrade more. He'll start new initiatives. Which will fail. The public will start to ridicule him. He'll do more running around in circles and flailing his arms. The public will start to hate and despise him.

Four years after he is elected, he will leave office broken, angry, and bitter.

In the unlikely event McCain wins, the same scenario will apply.

Ahh, misery. A delightful little brew, best savored in tiny little sips, with the lips fixed in a smirk and the pinkie finger extended.

Close but do you know what is really going to happen to Obama when things go bad? He is going to get assassinated and then the country is going to shatter into Hobbsian chaos.

The public will not be very kind to whomever presides over the nation while we all coast over the peak and the price of oil explodes.

Not very many presidents have the dubious honor of holding office during a major economic decline. I bet the Dem's will try to blame Bush for peak oil, which of course, is nonsense.

On a related note, Obama has promised to quickly extract US military forces from Iraq. This will be quite an amazing trick for a junior senator with no military experience. There are a thousand ways to screw up this troop removal operation and I'm sure he'll select one or more of them.

The first major way of screwing it up is to publicize a far-off date for when it will occur, which he has come very close to doing, and then drag your feet getting them all out leaving a reduced number increasingly vulnerable to attack.

The only way to successfully pull it off is to quietly and quickly remove them all over a 24 to 48 hour period. Destroy everything left behind with military value. Then let the Iraqi's sort things out like they should have been allowed to do all along. In a few months or maybe a year relative peace will once again reign over that terrible unstable land.

No, my dear, Osama was deliberate. You can judge the value of it for yourself.

I also have to wonder why you have "Osama" as part of the subject line.

I am not a big fan of Obama(although he's better than Hillary or McCain) but relating to a much hated figure in the West is a bit much don't you think?

Yes, I changed it for you and the hummingbird. Yet the crime lingers. Really, I meant nothing by it.

OK, I didn't get the joke.

I have to disagree with EB. Ain't no way we pull entirely out of Iraq, no matter who is elected. Don't you know what's beneath the sand there?

I won't vote for any of those fakers. Networked, business-as-usual liars, every one. We're on our own.
