Presidential Signing Statements/Executive Orders

Unread postby MarkL » Wed 21 May 2008, 10:32:48

I'm trying to get my extended family up to speed on what *could* happen when TSHTF. I thought the presidential signing statements relating to marshall law would be informative.

I believe I saw a post on PO.com that had a list of these signing statements. My search/google fu seems to be lacking. Does anyone have a link to this list?

thanks,

mark

Go to whitehouse.gov.
On the left hand side, under "News," click on Executive Orders.

Executive Orders... ok, that works. Thanks!

Here's a list similar to what I was looking for:

Executive Order #10995: Seizure of all communications media in the United States.

Executive Order #10997: Seizure of all electric power fuels and minerals, public and private.

Executive Order #10999: Seizure of all means of transportation, including personal cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind and total control of highways, seaports and waterways.

Executive Order #11000: Seizure of all American people for work forces under federal supervision including the splitting of families if the government finds it necessary.

Executive Order #11001: Seizure of all health, education and welfare facilities, public and private.

Executive Order #11002: Empowered the postmaster general to register all men, women and children in the U.S.

Executive Order #11003: Seizure of all airports and aircraft.

Executive Order #11004: Seizure of all housing and finance authorities to establish Forced Relocation Designated areas to be abandoned as "unsafe."

Executive Order #11005: Seizure of all railroads, inland waterways and storage facilities, public and private.

Executive Order #12919: Signs June 3, 1994, by President Clinton. Encompasses all the above executive orders.

I found this list here.

Executive order 11000 looks especially troubling.

Here is a link to the Federal Registry. You can verify the existence of all these "Executive Orders" Here

I find it stunning that this all took place under your collective noses and the good people of the USA stood by and watched their liberties they talk about so much erode away.

There really is a threat of a false flag event leading to a marshall law scenario, isn't there?

Best of luck with all that.

Not only has it taken place under our noses, if one tries to inform others of them and what they mean, a standard response is, "So? Nothing is going to happen, you're getting all worked up over nothing!"
Totally unbelievable.
False Flag event possible? You bet. IMHO, even now, strange things are happening: Isreal reporting Bush&Co are preparing to attack Iran, Australian paper claiming Bush&Co is planning to stage a coup in September, Headline News this morning was reporting that there is now a danger of hackers taking down the US powergrid...

What were we supposed to do? Have a riot and miss this weeks episode of American Idol?

SpringCreek, here's a question I have for you and any other of our neighbors to the north.

How can you know that you'll be exempt from such measures?

The border is just an imaginary line. Also, do you know your own government's emergency plans?

If I could, I'd be doing what you're doing Ludi. Low profile farming, permaculture, etc.

Maybe getting involved in the community - like volunteer fireman or EMT would be useful.

To the person who asking about solutions to the inexorable creep of fascism in the USA (and other countries), all I can say is this:
For the last 50 years, the US has had it pretty good (the G-7 as well.) The population(s) are complacent, and not under any real pressure.

The political system is entrenched in a 2-party system that does not allow any real dissent, or "outside-the-box" views, and approaches. Everyone seems to believe that Americans can replace their government at any time (or every two years) but the system just coughs up the same politicians.

I don't think armed revolution is a realistic scenario, at least as the North American economy and society stand at the moment. Someone like Ron Paul, is just too early. He needs to come out of the wood work when times get much worse for his message to be accepted.

In the meantime, the only solution I can see is to encourage as many people (especially young people) to vote, and get involved in the process. Long, hard, boring work, but necessary, and effective. Complaining on the internets and looking at YouTube videos of OTHER PEOPLE doing stuff does not cut it. Mighty rivers start with tiny streams.

More on what to do:
First, just how likely is it that these Executive Orders will be implemented (based on your own risk assessment of the situation)? Will risks increase or decrease based on other events occurring(new president, attack on Iran, etc.)? Risk assessment will determine how much mental and physical energy you'd want to spend on prepping for this situation as opposed to prepping for other situations. Make a plan that could create positive outcomes based on possible scenarios.

Some suggestions (my opinion with input from all over this and other forums):
-Don't commit crimes - even minor ones. Rules of engagement will be much more violent (shoot first, ask questions later). Criminals would be the first ones to the camps(once the prisons filled up).
-Keep your job or get into a job that you can keep. You're less likely to be sent to a camp if you're not part of the (perceived) problem.
-Be as self sufficient as possible. Same reason as above.
-Have a well developed support group - neighbors, family, friends. Helps with work load distribution and resources.
-Develop skills that will be useful to you and your group.
-Don't live too far from your doomstead - road blocks and local acceptance could be a problem.
-Keep a low profile.

At some point in time, if things sink low enough, we'll have a chance to rebuild our gov (locally or whatever). Be ready for this.

What to do:
-Find a small country, maybe somewhere in Eastern Europe, or perhaps a Nordic country, someplace with a real democracy that will be positively effected by global warming.
-Acquire large amounts of resources(How you do that is up to you).
-Acquire tremendously valuable skills.
-Don't cause problems for your government.
-Get a strong community together.
-Begin immigration.

Once you've immigrated, help get your friends and family to the new country. Hope that the U.S allows your immigration. It might be a good idea to collect books, knowledge, technology, develop trade secrets and technologies which you can use in the new country, carry large amounts of easily transportable goods.

You might travel to Canada, or Mexico, and then travel to your destination, as foreign countries are less interested in the movements of foreign people's to other countries.

To sum it all up: Basically, the U.S is screwed, it's time to abandon ship and hope the sadist captain doesn't sink the lifeboats.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MarkL', 'E')xecutive Order #11000: Seizure of all American people for work forces under federal supervision including the splitting of families if the government finds it necessary.

How the heck is this one not unconstitutional?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '1')3th Amendment:
Sect. 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime, whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Sect. 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

I can't believe no one has challenged this in court.

I don't understand how any of these Executive Orders are constitutional. Does congress ratify them or what? Can they be challenged by the supreme court?
