Sustainability argument split from Pheba's journal thread

In the meantime we have business back on planet earth. This is a great hobby and way to make a living but there is no such thing as "sustainability" or isolation in a post peak paradigm.

Have fun Pheba and the Pilgrim....

Grow up. Sustainability will be the only game in town. Isolation, on the other hand...

Uh Huh...Since Pheba and The Pilgrim are such good evolutionists then why do they not accept the fact that mankind has evolved into a new paradigm and state of existence and accept the consequences.

They are actually the ultimate hypocrits - They claim "sustainability" but are relying on "selling" their cattle and thereby contribuing to the global system of commerce and thereby contributing to the very problem they are trying to be separate from.

They actually pick and choose what is good and bad.
Example:
They love health care, but hate industrial agriculture. When in fact is all part of the same system.

There's no problem in living sustainably and selling produce. Those doing so now are going to be the teachers of the future.

Health care has nothing to do with it, relax (I'm guessing I've missed an altercation previously). It will no doubt be much curtailed in the future. We all do what we can for the future with the means at our disposal. There's little point in denigrating that. Education as to how better do so is worthwhile, trying that approach may help.

Not really an altercation, I was just a witness to her obvious bigotry against certain groups of people.

But in any case her "paradigm" is in no way sustainable, there is no use in her and the Pilgrim pretending it is. Sustainability, in the way people on these blogs define the term is a "pipe dream" Especially in the U.S.
The social dislocations that will occur if Pheba's pipe dream comes true will dash any aspect of "sustainability"- the answers lie in community based living, not and isolationist "living off the land" mentality, if you understand what I am saying.

Nope - Still here. I just responded to another one of you silly posts on the other forum about Brazilian Investments (as if you had any intelligent thoughts on the subject). I asked you several questions on your "rapture thread" which I noticed you did not answer, care to share ?

By the Way: Would you like to know how may times Pritchard has been wrong in the last 10 yrs on his silly predictions ?

Clueless,
Care to interrupt your direction for a moment and share what your idea of sustainability is? It sounds like some form of community living, which is what goes on in the US, it is however, a large community. The world has had commerce since the dawn of written history, and I expect trade to continue, since life can be most difficult without it.

This thread is a journal, not a debate. Let's keep it that way.
Local fix-it guy..

Not now, Clueless, let's not hijack this thread. You were doing such a lovely job of injecting insult and hopelessness into an otherwise helpful discussion. Toodle doo, Mr. Rupture Ready.

And now back to our regular scheduled programme
