Your Amusing High School Stories

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Thu 21 Feb 2008, 21:27:43

I'm with rocc on the racism and doomer crap. This might be a fun topic. When I was in High School I swam and played water polo. I was the only sophmore to make it to the CIF finals where I placed second in butterfly. So I was a strong swimmer. But I didn't have a big head and I wasn't particularly aggressive so I wound up on the second string on the water polo team. I probably had more talent than many of the starters but what the heck. So one afternoon our team was playing a very weak team and the coach put me in. He took out all the starters. So the kids in the water with me were all passing the ball to me and I wound up scoring repeatedly with ease. I set a junior varsity record and got recognized at the awards ceremony. So what's funny about this? It was the look on the starters faces. They were so pissed and I loved it. Besides, none of them made CIF let alone placed. They just had these ridiculously inflated egos.

Yeah, plants, we didn't have to eat out of dumpsters. I got my first car by working as a bag boy at a supermarket. My frugal mom liked to cook liver and onions, yech! :-x I did like it when she made tacos for us. mmmmm.

How do you know he is/was rich? Just because someone was on a sports team in highschool doesn't make them rich.

So according to your logic, anyone who makes more money than you is rich, right? I make <$20k a year and rent an apartment, am I rich according to your standards? Because I sure as hell don't feel rich.

Sigh. What I'm really trying to get across is, he may not feel rich, you may not feel rich, but having a car at ALL in HS is compared to a lot of people, yeah, pretty rich. And having a job? Compared to a town where there are like 3 jobs and it's written into law somewhere or something that whites don't get them, yeah.

The problem is, the hatred towards those who did not get to grow up in a nice all-white area, and have these things that yes, ARE basic for a nice all-white area, and criticize those who grew up among N----'s like it's a personal failing.

My parents fucked up. I have NO good or funny stories about HS. It was sheer fucking survival all the way. I have done my best to correct my parents' fuckup by living in a nice White area, speaking up for Whites and for White nationalism, and for keeping my money in the White family.

OK there's one story: I swear to god, this teach fell for the old "52 pickup" joke. Now that was pretty damn funny.

My point was that we were middle class, not upper class as you seem obsessed to portray me. Why is that? My parents weren't going to give me a free ride. They didn't give me a car. I had to pay for it myself by working a job. Middle class in those days meant a lot more than it does now, though. So in that sense, we were well off. Btw, aside from the most amusing event in High School, the most memorable was when I smelled pussy on my finger while hitch-hiking home from my girlfriends house.

So you think I'm rich even though I'm below the poverty line... wtf? I'm not rich, there were kids I went to HS with who lived in $5mil+ lakefront houses and drove new cadillacs, now that's rich. My cousin makes over $500k/year, that's rich. I am not rich.

You want to know something really funny. I don't remember any of my senior year. I was so fucked up all the time, that it's all a blur now.

Smelling pussy on your finger is something you don't forget, but yeah, I didn't swim or play water polo as a senior. I dropped acid and popped pills. Very regrettable.

There was a boy I went to school with who OD'd on heroin. I used to play with him when he was 8 years old. Another fellow I knew raised cobras. The second time he got bit he died.

No dumpster digging, no one threw out that much. To me that seems to be a later thing, 1980 on, and not talked about much until maybe mid-90s on.

There just was no extra, anything.

I had a lot of fun in high school.

Our school had in-house suspension where they put you in a room with cubbies for each desk and a mean lady in the middle of the room keeping an eye on everyone. You were to sit there and do your work, no talking, no fun, it sucked.

My buddy got in trouble one time and got sent to in-house so I deliberately got in trouble to join him there. We had done this several times and kind of liked it, because we could hang out during breaks and a lot of our other troublemaker friends were in there with us.

The mean monitor woman would sit there and knit all day, scowling at everyone. But it turned out she was not so mean, and really just wanted someone to talk to, so we started taking every chance to talk to her and be nice to her. We let her know that our fondest wish was for her to knit us our own in-house detention scarves (which we thought was a total joke). After we had turned our initial 3 day stay into two weeks by deliberately being late and finishing up several months of school work (it's amazing how much work you can get done when you just sit there), the in-house monitor surprised us by giving us each our own scarf that she had knitted for us. We thought that was the cooling thing that ever happened. The vice-principal got wind of our cozy in-house setup and came to the in-house room and told us both that we were being sent back to class immediately. The in-house detention monitor looked sad as we packed up our stuff and headed back to class wearing our in-house scarves.

I see stories in the news today about kids doing things that are similar to what we did, but they get arrested and face criminal charges. For some reason, it seemed different back then (1980s).

For example, we set all sorts of small fires at school. We would light pep rally banners on fire, toilet paper in the bathrooms, papers in lockers, that sort of thing. It was fun. Today, I see the authorities describing that as arson.

We let a mouse loose in the cafeteria one day. That was a lot of fun to watch. It's interesting to watch a large room full of people sort of panic one table at a time (mostly the girls). When they captured the mouse they put him in the biology lab (close to my desk, oddly enough) and there he lived from then on.

Synchronized stink bomb detonation at pep rallies.

A lot of the really entertaining stuff happened away from the school.

We set the record from dorm parking lot to the mall at 2 minutes and 30 seconds for 4 mile trip, with the car loaded with friends, and I learned to drift all the intersections and corners. Scariest moment was at 145 MPH on a two lane bumpy back road highway through the farm fields, we survived, albight a bit shaky Only wrecked once in three years. Oh yeah, I always made deans list. Now I see how stupid I was.

Did you have to walk to school in the snow uphill both ways year round?

What was the racial makeup of your high school?
