Disruption affecting all wireless carriers
NEW YORK - BlackBerry smart phones have lost service across the United States, wireless carriers said Monday.
In a statement, AT&T spokesman Fletcher Cook said the disruption is affecting all wireless carriers. Cook said the company first learned about the problem from BlackBerry maker Research in Motion about 3:30 p.m. EST.
There was no word on the cause or how widespread the outage was. …

it's seems possible that "they" are testing distruptions in communication, to see how the public reacts, and also to use a "Cook the Frog Slowly" strategy. There recently was an iPhone falure in the US, and internet cables cut.

That's terrible!

Folks-you may not realize this, but as we speak thousands of self absorbed upwardly mobile types are taking out their rage on some poor clerk behind the counter.

They take this disruption in service very serious, I guess we should too.

Good! It's a start. I just checked, my leash still works. But then again is it still a leash if I only check that it's not working?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')tuart Gold, a customer who says he gets 1,000 e-mails a day as director of field marketing for Web analytics company Omniture Inc., worked on his laptop most of Monday after his BlackBerry went on the blink.

Although Gold said he thought last year's outage gave him a needed break from work, Monday's frayed his last nerve.

"I cannot believe this happened again," he said as he got off a plane Monday. "I'm on the road 300 days a year. My entire life is in my BlackBerry — my family life, my professional life, my emotional life, everything. ... They're not allowed to do this to me."

I do not own a cell phone, I do not own a mobile anything. I do not rely on the trappings that most modern sheep rely on. I own a computer, but that is for my own personal pleasure and decandance. I can do without.. How many of you can honestly claim to be free of the devices that enslave those that you laugh at? I would say very few of you.

I personally think that 99% of you still do not get it ( Oh sure I hear you hem and hawing and talking about the end of the modern era, but you are not living it), and I am forced to post BS in order to stir you up to realize that the end game is approaching. You are all wearing my patience thin. This is not a game, this is real. Until you wake up, I hope you keep enjoying your half caff extra foam grande latte's and that suv you have parked in your soccermom garage.

How many of you are in good enough shape? How many of you can do 30 pushups or even run a mile? How many of you are just a bunch of fat computer loving slobs with crumbs all over your bloated gut from the Extra Cheese Meat Lovers pizza you had tonight?

Worried about fucking black berry service... damn you all sometimes sicken the fuck out of me.

And you wonder why I would choose the military over you all.

I used to work (till very recently) in a call center for tech support for the VAIO's, i had a good 50% of customers that will bitch for ages if the f**cking machine had a failure, because they said their hole life was there, and the problem with the computer was putting stress in the relation with family and friends. No folks, they are not prepared for the ramifications of PO or anything at all...

Fuckin'-A you tell it brother. When this laptop dies no more puter, fuck all this crap. I admit I find the puter entertaining, and good for learning stuff, like trumpet stuff on youtube and discussions etc.

no cell fone here. Got VHF ham radio but haven't talked to anyone and will need a good reason to. No CrackBerry needless to say.

CrackBerry service goes down every time they update the software, it's been that way for years.

I'm say to say the Army's more "wired" now with internet access and soldiers encouraged to keep in touch with family by email and all that, but it will still be a real dose of reality compared to living in a society of cubicle-rats.

If my own experience is any guide, the Army isn't where you'll get shot at, it's civilian life. I've had several rounds winged in my direction and one hit.

It sounds like our boy needs to get out there and do long walks, interspersed with jogging, real slow at first, the Army used to make it seem less wimpy by calling it the "airborne shuffle" lol. But that's how you start. Go a mile or two at first, work up to 5k, and get where you're jogging more than walking, after a while you'll get a sort of "find your stride" thing, it will take a few months, but let me tell you it kicks ass. We humans are half legs for a reason. 8)

Just so you know, my young friend, I don't eat pizza (nor do I have a bloated gut), I don't own a cell phone or cable TV and I can run a mile.

But when I run that mile, I don't carry a full combat pack and a rifle like you'll be doing soon. :P So you can still hate me if it makes you feel better. :)

JR! Pfft...Bwaahahahah! You're a funny motherfucker! Nailed me with a hammer! 'Cept I have frito dust on my bloated gut. Had Frito chilli Pie for supper. Slurp! But, yea, that guy from the WoW episode of South Park, you know, the one that was kicking everybody's ass? That's me. And you can bet your ass that I'm not one to give up this computer until they throw the switch over there at the Internet, or the electric generator, whichever comes first.

Fuck a cellphone. I hate the goddamn things. Blackberry service? ... pfffft...who gives a fuck! Pretentious, self-important assholes! Serves 'em right for running this fucking country into the ground.

The endgame is coming? Shiiiittt brah! Bring it the fuck on while I am still able to take on the zombie hordes and before I'm too old to enjoy a life after the apocalypse!
