Not a bad week for platinum

Unread postby mattduke » Fri 25 Jan 2008, 19:19:00

Pt is up 7.5% this week. There have been problem supplying energy to mining companies in Africa. A glimpse of the future where commodities soar while the companies that used to produce them using fossil fuels go broke?

Gold, silver, platinum, etc... seem to be interesting plays since mining companies are having trouble with their energy supplies.

Thanks for the update on Platinum.

Catalytic Converter Theft Warning For Car Owners

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')t turns out the piece of equipment that sits out of sight on your car contains ingredients that are becoming increasingly valuable on the black market. And it's incredibly easy to steal.

"All it takes is a sawzall with a metal blade, a couple of quick cuts and it's out," explains Cam Young, a mechanic at Cam's Auto Service. "Less than two minutes."
