device to increase MPG by 15 to 20%!

device to increase MPG by 15 to 20%!

Unread postby KevO » Tue 15 Jan 2008, 12:45:52

How come I've not heard of these?
A 20% increase in MPG is equivalent to a 20% drop in fuel prices!!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he Car Magnet Fuel Booster includes 2 Units for maximum benefit.
Simply clips to you engines fuel line & gives you extra MPG, extra power, saves money & helps the planet.

These units are becoming quite popular now as they are proven to give a 15% increase in MPG.
As the fuel passes by the magnet it increases the combustion of the fuel, meaning we get better
MPG, reduces pollution & build up of carbon in the engine.
These units are also very popular with those running their cars on vegetable oil or bio diesel
as it helps the oils to burn much better, reduces some of the known problems & helps starting
in cold weather. As testament to how good these are, The Royal Airforce use these on Spitfire
& Hurricane aircraft, according to the included manual & instructions.

This twin unit comes with full instructions and can be installed easily in minutes & won't affect
the cars warranty. Comes with a 5 year warranty

We tested these units ourselves as we were a little sceptical of the claims.
It took less than 3 mins to install the unit in both vehicles we tried.
Immediately we got results on both long runs and short runs although we understand
best results are achieved once the units have been installed for a while.
Immediate results seem to give a 15% to 20% increase in MPG.

I'm not sure that it is. Alternative Soles are in the UK 'Veggiehealth' magazine which is distributed UK wide by the VVF - the health charity
and making these claims if untrue mean that you get into big trouble with the OFT or the Trading Standards. as in jail.
Mind you, their clothes and shoes are bloody cheap which in the Uk could be too good be to true :)

Not wishing to settle for just a tremendous boost in gasoline mileage, I bought a second set and put them in my back pocket. This completely offset the lead in my ass and now instead of walking, I skip everywhere I go and can't wipe the big grin off of my face. The only bad thing I have noticed is that it is hard to get to sleep, because I can't stop whistling like a happy little bird either. Beware of the ones that do not have the color green used on the packaging, as I believe they are dicey to say the least.

If this worked AND it was that easy, wouldn't Bob Lutz be less opposed to increased CAFE standards?

My personal fave was one I saw in the 80's that you put on your carburetor. Supposedly, it had something to do with phases of the moon. You had to reverse it every 28 days or something! Amusing.

Kev,

Don't listen to these doubting Thomases. It's only 25 pounds. Buy a set, install it, and give it a whirl. Then tell us how it went. Be sure to carefully document your mileage before installation on a repeatable trip, and then repeat that trip in the same weather conditions afterward. Preferably several times for statistical accuracy.

You've not heard of them, because they are an asburd fraud.

The marketing for these fraudulent products is very slick and well practiced; the exact same sales pitch, magnets clipping round the fuel line - better mPG, less pollution, army/government/councils/fuel companies using them, too good to be true until we tested them, etc. is a textbook copy of numerous similar scams busted by trading standards over the last decade.

So slick, however, is the marketing by the fraudsters that they may con retailers and resellers. Don't necessarily blame the retailer, they may be an innocent victim too; they may be selling them in the best of faith, but have just been misled.

 Great post!

Magnets to supposedly break up fuel ions, etc have been around at least 30 years, because I remember them coming out big time in the late 70's/early 80's with gas lines and even/odd days. JC Whitney used to sell them for about 4 or 5 bucks.

Efarmer, you get to be my new member quote :)
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

Magnets can also be used to prevent hard water problems in your house, relieve arthritis symptems, and lots of other good stuff. Look for magnets on eBay, and you should find some sellers who offer magnets of sufficient strength to do anything the expensive ones do, at a better price, with links to websites offering information and discussion. Search "fuel magnet" for ready made ones, and "magnet Neodymium" will help you find lots of unusually strong magnets. Make your own fuel magnets: http://www.emanator.demon.co.uk/bigclive/magnet.htm
More info:
http://csicop.org/si/9801/powell.html Or just do an internet search for "fuel magnets"

If you believe this and want to spend more than a couple of dollars to try it, I could also sell you a nice bridge, and a lot on the moon. We could fix you up with enough fuel saving devices that fuel will start to run out of the tank whenever you drive!!

I have a device that can increase MPG on most vehicles by 15 to 20 percent. It's called a hockey puck, and it's easily installed behind the gas pedal on any vehicle. Trim the puck as needed to limit engine acceleration beyond 2500 RPM.
