I think they all had a google search trigger for po.com that was waiting for Aaron to write "we told you so"...

It's amazing how much has changed since the rise of kornys reached its peak, and not in terms of energy replacement breakthroughs either. Yeah, ethanol is more available, we have energy efficient bioengineered mice, yeah people are starting to become more aware of their energy usage... yadda yadda... but, um, did you notice OIL IS DAMN NEAR A HUNDRED DOLLARS A BARREL?

Ok, granted a large part of that is dollar devaluation, but still.

I say welcome back. Let the fun begin.

I'm a cornucopian if we get our act together.

I think things can turn out for the best but I don't think they will.


NOTE: I'm not a complete doomer, civilization I believe will survive, if not us, then somewhere else.

Oh yeah, shriek shriek. Let's see... Crude production hit a peak in 2005, and liquids production hasn't risen for a year, and oil is DAMN NEAR A HUNDRED DOLLARS A BARREL. Wow! You guys were right, aside from the fact that nobody gives a flying dog doo. The global economy continues to chug along, as usual:

In fact, the global growth rate has actually risen in tandem with oil prices. Which just goes to show that you PO weenies can't even get it right when you're right. LOL.
