I'm a younger forum member (I was only born in the late 70s), so this question is more for the older crowd:

What exactly happened during the 70s gas shortages and how would you relate your experience then to the possibility of it all happening over again today?

Read up on the 30's and you'll know what the middle will be like.

The end is anyone's guess - but I think it will be unprecedented.
