The shows like 24 make it seem like they are geniuses but the truth is that one has to devote great deal of effort to stay on top of it. Now you know that it was all in vain.

maybe arian was hoping that he'd put up this site and when peak oil hit all the traffic be coming to this site and he will become famous and bic will be number #1 on all google searches or something..... maybe arain realized he could ride the peak oil wave to be 'prosperious' in the age of decline,... if tht makes any sense....

however, he must have learnt that peoples no likes the truth, they want to hear WHAT they want to hear, they want to sugarcoat illusion and fantasy and everything to be high energy optimistic upbeat, etcetc... that is the nature of all life, et al evolutionary darwinism.

so therefore, classic case of negative ErOeI for arraon. He created and INVESTED and spent so much into this peakoil.com site hoping for returns (of any sort really) all to find everything he done in vain, because see this site has less traffic than before, the system is perfect UNTIL ITS NOT, and when days comes armagendon is here and grid finally DOES go down, it will do so and who will come to peakoil.com anymore? So see, arraon can't cash in on something that relyies on the very infrastructure (cheap oil) that powers it up and props it up in the first place.....

classic case of negative ErOeI, there will be far more I'm sure,

like college degrees, making friends, having kids, just basically, anything to do with LIFE itself..... to bad so sad...

PMS has been gloomy lately. I hope he cheers up. From what I know of Aaron, he has a lot more in his head than arcane techno-trivia so I doubt that premise is true. But, being an engineer, it is insane how much of that crap has to be embedded in your neurons in order to solve problems or make things work in this modern age.

A year ago, PMS was one of the most level headed guys on here. Lately (meaning the last month or so) he has become ever more disturbed and chaotic in his thought processes. He now converses with Rapheal as though he see what he says as logical. I worried about his mental state and think that that everyone around him should start looking for shelter.

Nope PMS tried to off himself and take the entire universe with him. Lateralus seems to have saved us with PMS just taking himself out. I admit that there appears on the surface to be some discontinuities between Lateralus and Chaparral that are making it difficult for me to just jump back in.

PMS must be feeling really doomerish. I was just trying to get myself out of a tutu and he was trying to destroy everything.

Aaron should be feeling a little gloomy. The end is fast approaching and we've all figured out what it will be ages ago. I bet it just kinda hurts to know that although this is a great site with tons of info really very little has changed. I'm far more prepaired then I was before coming here but I get the feeling the vast majority of people on this site don't read the prep forum. If they do they definitely don't post. The majority of the world doesn't come here and isn't prepaired.

At least it should make for interesting TV until the grid goes down.

Yeah its just your imagination as I distinctly recall when I first arrived here plenty of people discussing right left politics and posting endless crap up about GWMD being a dumbass.
It was endless as if that was all they wanted us to know and Peak oil.

PO by the way which from the outside is a "wacky conspiracy theory" yet on the inside is the only real truth and everything else is a wacky conspiracy theory :lol:

Heck I can debunk most CT's with 3 articles and the flick of my internet savvy wrist....
