Any day now you can expect someone to offer genetic engineering for your not yet conceived child where this and other factors will be available for your selection. The question is where does it end? Robert Heinlein in his novel "Friday" predicted that as soon as the technology was proven there would be wealthy sorts using the tech to create the mythological creatures like Satyrs and Centaurs that are a mix of human and animal. I am not too sure that would be accepted any time soon, but eliminating the genes for low IQ, selecting for eye/hair/skin color and face structure I see all being prime drivers of the technology. Then there is the unseen but still alterable aspects like replacing Human muscle fibers with Chimpanzee muscle fibers which are considerably more powerful on a size comparison. In an honest contest no human could defeat a Chimp in arm wrestling because their muscles are so much more powerful because they are climbing apes that spend a lot of time brachiating (swinging from object to object by their arms). Imagine the genetically engineered weight lifters of the future with Chimpanzee muscled arms. Or on a more subtle level true genetic engineers could eliminate things we are missing like the ability to produce Vitamin C and the 9 essential proteins we must eat to remain healthy. Make those changes and you can feed the future humans a diet of nothing but cheap gruel and their biological enzymes will do the rest eliminating the need for eating meat or citrus fruits.

Good to have it confirmed that there is a genetic link to high IQ.
This has been known for quite a long time, but the precise genetic mechanism hadn't been pinned down.
But now we know for sure.
Yes...my parents got me one of those experimental genetic brain enhancement treatments ....how did you know?
