PeakOil is You

PeakOil is You

If you had a plan, and then was included?

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

If you had a plan to reduce human population by the willful death of the less desireable, implemented the plan and then to your surprise found that you were one of these 'less desireable', would you:

If I'm implementing the plan why would I include myself?

Seriously, it depends on too many factors. I'm willing to die for a cause but it better be a damn good one.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'w')illful death of the less desireable

What do you mean? It sounds like you mean they volunteer for death - "willful", but I suspect you mean somebody else selects them for death and they have no choice.

My answer to the original question is I wouldn't have a plan that selects people for death in the first place. I'm a fatalistic sort of person. I think if the consequences of society's actions lead to global warming, peak oil, war, famine, pestilence and death then we get to live and die with those consequences. If society mitigates the actions that lead to these things then we get to live with the effects being mitigated. Or, as ye sow, so shall ye reap.

1. If I design the plan, there is no way I am included.

2. If, by some strange occurrence, I am included and I know for an absolute fact that only 10-100 million people will survive on the entire planet, I would be happy to be included...

I put that word there just to avoid the notion of 'murder'; a lot of bleeding hearts on this board would just love to see a few billion people die, but wouldn't dare commit murder (or hurt a fly so they claim).
